China says that carbon emissions have peaked and are expected to decline within the next year or two. It is worth noting that developed countries emissions typically peak and then decline as technology in industry advances. Both the U.S. and Germany peaked years ago but both nations have hypocritically have been vocal about not allowing other nations to reach their carbon peaks.
According to the International Energy Agency, China accounts for 60% of all new solar and wind power installations. China is also working on at least 21 nuclear reactors to build out nuclear energy, which has no carbon emissions and is widely accepted as the safest and most reliable form of energy known to man.
China has a goal of reaching net zero by 2060. It is worth noting that all of this was done quite naturally. No environmental group, activist or lobby can take credit with what research has shown would happen anyway.
