Former President Trump handily won the Iowa caucuses on Monday with the largest win margin in the history of Republican caucuses.

President Trump won 51% of voters. Even though the media told us Nikki Haley would win second place, she didn’t. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis won second place with 21% of the votes. Vivek Ramaswamy came in last with 8% of the votes and subsequently suspended his campaign. He says that he will now fully endorse President Trump and “do everything I can to make sure he is the next U.S. President.”

There is speculation that he will be for Trump’s vice presidential running mate. Other contenders include former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard who just announced a partnership with X to produce documentary style videos.

Iowa is early days in the race but Trump’s win is significant given that he did not spend as much time in the state as his competitors and still brought home such a commanding lead. The next primary will be in New Hampshire on January 23.
