Nimrata “Nikki” Haley had high hopes for the Republican Primaries in her home state of South Carolina but they were dashed with the results. She lost to former President Donald Trump and it wasn’t even close. Trump took approximately 60% of the vote and Haley earned about 40%.

This loss cost her one of her biggest donors, the billionaire Koch family. Even with the money drying up and four consecutive losses, Haley still wants to compete.

“I said earlier this week that no matter what happens in South Carolina, I would continue to run for president. I’m a woman of my word,” Haley said. “In the next 10 days, another 21 states and territories will speak. They have the right to a real choice, not a Soviet-style election with only one candidate. And I have a duty to give them that choice.”

She headed to Michigan on Sunday to campaign for that primary, which is tomorrow. She is not expected to win Michigan but her campaign said that they are launching a “seven-figure” ad buy ahead of Super Tuesday, March 5.
