A new poll shows that more voters trust Vice President Kamala Harris “to handle the economy” than former President Trump. Why? I cannot figure out why.
The economy is piss poor under the Biden administration but voters magically do not associate Harris with the Biden administration. More Americans than ever say that they worry they can’t pay their bills “most or all of the time,” which is higher than that metric was during the 2008 financial crisis and yet a vote for Harris would be “Bidenomics double time all the way down,” according to economist Peter St. Onge.
Harris has not said how she will handle inflation, joblessness, or the doubling of housing costs but 42% of voters say that they trust her to handle the economy compared to 41% that said that they trust President Trump.
