Studies To Prep For Nuclear War?

The U.S. is preparing for a nuclear war in Europe. The Defense Department has put out a call for a modeling study to look into “the effects of nuclear weapons on agricultural systems.” The report is to focus on regions “beyond Eastern Europe and Western Russia.”

Why do we need this? Do we think that nuclear conflict is imminent?

Last month the Biden administration updated its nuclear policies and Russia did the same. So now we’re looking into how the food system would function in the event of nuclear war? I’d love to see the same efforts put into avoiding nuclear war!
