Do trans athletes take medals from female athletes? Yes. Yes they do.

new report from the United Nations finds that “over 600 female athletes in more than 400 competitions have lost more than 890 medals in 29 different sports.” The report says that “the replacement of the female sports category with a mixed-sex category has resulted in an increasing number of female athletes losing opportunities, including medals, when competing against males.”

Trans activists like to pretend that this is not the case and often say that women should focus on participation instead of winning when pitted against men. The report correctly says that testosterone testing is not sufficient to level the playing field because “testosterone suppression for genetically male athletes…will not eliminate the set of comparative performance advantages they have already acquired.” The report says that “to avoid the loss of a fair opportunity, males must not compete in the female category of sport.” Full stop.

Recently trans golfer Nicole Powers said that stopped competing in women’s golf competitions because he realized that it was unfair. He said that when he competed with women he had to “lay off a little bit” on his game because he knew he “wouldn’t feel right” taking awards away from women.
