President Trump on Day 1 signed more than 200 executive actions, 46 executive orders and 115 personnel actions. He gave three speeches, went to three balls and spoke at length with reporters for over an hour in the Oval Office. You can read the full transcript of his inauguration speech here.
It was a marathon Day 1! He is 78 years old. I am 46 and I went to bed before all the ceremonies had ended. President Biden was also 78 years old when he took office in 2021.
The President rescinded 78 Biden Era executive orders. A list of his laws can be found here. Here is a list of the more notable ones that will affect the American people immediately:
- He has designated international cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and given the government the authority to “ensure the total elimination of these organizations’ presence in the United States;”
- He enabled the military to “participate in the defense of” U.S. national borders;
- He has paused all foreign aid for at least 90 days while the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) “will make determinations… on whether to continue, modify, or cease each foreign assistance program based upon the review recommendations, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State.”
- He ended all DEI programs within the federal government;
- He secured “the right of the American people to engage in constitutionally protected speech,” prohibiting the Federal Government from engaging in or facilitating “any conduct that would unconstitutionally abridge the free speech of any American citizen;
- He established that there are two sexes and that should be recognized in all federal agencies and in all federal documents and removes gender ideology from all agency forms and policy documents;
- He ended birthright citizenship to non U.S. citizens, which will most definitely be challenged in the courts;
- He withdrew the United States from the World Health Organization. More on that bombshell below!
