Ukrainian President Zelensky asked for U.S. troops to be sent to the front lines of the war with Russia. He’s surely lost his ever-loving mind.

During the Biden administration, Zelensky repeatedly promised that Ukraine could fight the war on their own as long as NATO allies sent weapons. Now that President Trump has paused all foreign aid, he wants troops!? The nerve of this guy!

Zelensky said that these allied troops “will not have a relaxed time.” When an interviewer asked if he wanted them on the front line he said, “Yes, with our people of course. Yes, because this means security and that’s it. It can’t be without United States.”

He explained that without the United States, other European allies would not risk supporting Ukraine.

Zelensky did say that he believes President Trump and Chinese President Xi Xinping could bring about a peace deal with Russia. The Chinese President held a video call with Russian President Putin on Tuesday to discuss collaborating on a peace deal. According to Russian state media, “Putin informed Xi that Moscow is ready to engage with the new US administration on this issue.”
