Europe announced new sanctions on Russia, the 16th sanctions package since the was began in 2022.

“The EU is clamping down even harder on circumvention by targeting more vessels in Putin’s shadow fleet and imposing new import and export bans,” said EU Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen.

Has it escaped her attention that the European economy is terrible and that this downward spiral began when sanctions began? Has it escaped her attention that the Russian economy has only grown since, despite sanctions?

This is a part of Europe’s tough talk about continuing the war on Ukraine, even though we all know that without the U.S., that is not possible.

Now there are rumors that the U.S. would leave NATO. If that happens, NATO would flounder just like the EU is without the U.S. European leaders are fearmongering that without NATO and the U.S., Russia would keep moving West. That is nonsense and based on ignorance and misunderstanding of the conflict.

There are now reports that French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer have been invited to the White House to discuss this. How do you think that is going to go?
