Hamas says that they have reached a deal with Israel. The deal would secure the release of over 600 Palestinians whose freedom was delayed last weekend.
Israel delayed its hostage release because they did not like the way Hamas released Israeli hostages but I guess they got over that.
“They will be released simultaneously with the bodies of the Israeli prisoners agreed to be handed over during the first phase, in addition to the corresponding Palestinian women and children,” Hamas said.
The ceasefire is still in place in Gaza while these negotiations take place. Israel says that if the next phase of the ceasefire is not agreed upon soon, they will restart the war.
Meanwhile, Israel has stepped up attacks on the West Bank and on Syria.
