new study shows what is a consistent trend: Gender transformation only makes mental health worse. We already knew that gender transformation increased the risk of suicide. A new study shows that surgical sex changes increases the risk of “depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders” than those who do not undergo surgery.

Well…who would have predicted that experimental procedures would make people so uncomfortable? Not do the procedures lead to sterilization and create life-long pharmaceutical patients, they are painful and increase a person’s focus on “passing” as another gender. No one should go around the world hyper focused on how others perceive them!

The study, surprisingly, does not suggest that these procedures stop because they are associated with harm. It only suggests that there is a need for “ongoing, gender-sensitive mental health support for transgender individuals’ post-surgery.”
