According to reports, France helped Ukrainian President Zelensky write an apology letter to President Trump in order to mend fences.
While the European Union talks tough about leading the war efforts in Ukraine, they secretly know that they can’t. Diplomats in France, Germany and the U.K. have reportedly “sweated over how to try and repair the badly damaged relationship between Trump and Zelensky.”
The White House confirmed that it received such a letter and have been continuing to work towards peace. White House envoy Steve Witkoff said this week that a peace deal with Ukraine was on “the verge” of a breakthrough. Leaders in Qatar have also expressed interest in hosting peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
