President Biden says that he opposes a bill to prevent noncitizens from voting, H.R. 8281, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act.
In a statement published by House Speaker Mike Johnson, the President says that it is “already illegal for noncitizens to vote in Federal elections” so the “justification for this bill is based on easily disproven falsehoods.” He also says that the bill will make it harder for Americans to register to vote.
Speaker Johnson said that “it should alarm every American citizen that the sitting President of the United States, who has opened our border to over 9 million illegals, just announced that he would veto our bill to prevent noncitizens from voting.”
It alarms me more that Speaker Johnson passed the President’s spending bill to aid Ukraine instead of insisting on border security funds instead. Further proof that they are a uniparty.
