The House of Representatives will consider an amendment to tell the World Health Organization (WHO) to pound sand with their global powers treaty. GOOD!

Representative Thomas Massie put forth an amendment to recognize that the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land and any WHO agreement and treaty that overrides it is invalid, illegal and unenforceable. He said this about it on X: “Treaties don’t override the Constitution. Laws that seek to bind Americans in the United States must first pass both the House and Senate.”

Would this pass the Democratically-controlled Senate? Who knows. Democrats are not that concerned with civil liberties other than the right to an abortion. Also, there have been other proposals in Congress to prevent the President from signing the WHO treaty without permission from Congress but they haven’t gone far so we’ll see but I applaud the effort!
