Go Ahead, Take Your Pick

The American Red Cross will now let donors self-declare their sex for blood donations.

The Red Cross allows for blood donations from homosexual men after a three-month celibacy period. They say that this is a requirement of the FDA. But now if this same man wants to identify as a woman, they can get around this requirement.

Also, the Red Cross has different height and weight requirements for men and women to be eligible donors. But one could get around these requirements if they change their gender.

This is a baffling rejection of human biology, especially when you consider that the CDC’s own data shows that 42% of trans-identified males living in urban centers were HIV positive.
