Ozempic-maker Novo Nordisk has a new weight loss drug that comes in a daily pill form. They say that it can cause weight loss of up to 13% in three months.

The new weight loss pill is called Amycretin. It contains GLP-1, which is what is in the injectable weight loss drugs, and an amylin, which is a hormone that is said to make people feel full and control blood sugar.

In the injectable drugs, GLP-1 is associated with adverse events including nausea, vomiting and gastrointestinal side effects. One woman is suing Novo Nordisk, claiming that she will suffer diarrhea for the rest of her life after using Ozempic.

In this new pill, the side effects are the same. Novo Nordisk says that the include ” mild to moderate in severity and of gastrointestinal nature including nausea and vomiting.” But don’t worry, they call that “safe and tolerable.”

I guess that depends on your ability to tolerate constant nausea and diarrhea. If you’re cool with that, just don’t trust any fart while you’re in public!
