That is how long Senator Cory Booker from New Jersey spoke in his record-breaking Senate speech that ended on Tuesday. It was mostly a 24-hour rant against the Trump administration. It was two minutes longer than the previous record for longest speech in Congress held by Strom Thurmond, the South Carolina senator who filibustered to oppose the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
