How did we get from "the U.S. will support Israel's attack on Iran" to "the U.S. will attack Iran"????
NBC News reports that US military officials have discussed launching “very limited” airstrikes against Iranian targets inside Iran or outside of the country. Even though Israel has reportedly not briefed the U.S. on its plans to retaliate against Iran, the U.S. is ready to strike nevertheless.
President Biden is reportedly scheduled to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Matthew Miller from the U.S. State Department was pushed on the U.S. support for Israel by several reporters. Said Arikat, a professor and former UN spokesperson, asked why the U.S. has given Israel almost $23 billion and has no leverage over what they do with it.
The Grayzone's Liam Cosgrove asked Miller about "arming militaries that are striking in territories with nuclear power" while denying accountability for the civilian deaths in Gaza, Syria and Lebanon. Miller could not answer for this but suggested that Cosgrove give a speech somewhere else in Washington. To which he replied: “People are sick of the bullshit here. It is a genocide. You are abedding it. And you are risking nuclear war in Ukraine and Iran!”
Another thing Miller said merits attention. He said "We do support Israel launching these incursions to degrade Hezbollah's infrastructure." Journalist Aaron Maté said this about it: "The use of term 'Hezbollah infrastructure' is revealing. Miller could have said 'Hezbollah military targets'. But he knows that Israel is also destroying Lebanese civilian infrastructure, and he’s signaling that the US is fully on board with that too, just as it is in Gaza."
Hurricane Milton got in the way of Ukrainian President Zelensky's Victory Plan meeting. Wah-wah.
President Biden was scheduled to travel to Germany this weekend to meet with Zelensky and other Western nations but he canceled because the U.S. is a little busy right now with destructive hurricanes and wildfires. Zelensky had promised that this meeting with be "historic" but this is the second big party that he planned in Europe that Biden has not attended.
Reminder: Zelensky's "victory plan" is an idiotic farce. It involves funding for Ukraine to keep losing to Russia in perpetuity.
Zelensky had planned another "peace conference" in November and that has been canceled too. Like the summit earlier this summer, the conference did not include Russia so there was no way to make peace with Russia without Russia.

Stephen Colbert on his CBS late night show said that Americans want to elect someone that they "could have a beer with" so he shared a Miller High Life with Vice President Harris on his show on Tuesday.
Both President Biden and President Trump have said that they learned from the destructive effects of alcoholism in their families and made conscious choices to abstain. This idea that Americans would like to share an addictive substance with their elected leader is folly and stupid. Americans want a leader who is serious in this time of war and economic destruction.
Vice President Harris did another interview on Tuesday with Howard Stern and in a supreme twist of irony, he said that he doesn't like the humor that Saturday Night Live directs at the Democratic candidate.
“I hate it. I don’t want you being made fun of,” Stern said. “There’s too much at stake. I believe the entire future of this country right now … it’s literally on the line.”
Howard Stern does not appreciate satire. I can't with that.

Introducing the Representation Index. It is the new DEI, only it uses AI.
The Representation Index gives brands a score to tell customers how "inclusive their ads are—or aren’t." As if we cannot see for ourselves with our own eyes.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Representation Index "is being introduced by Female Quotient, a group that promotes gender equality in the workplace, and XR Extreme Reach, a tech platform used by brand marketers and others. It will use artificial intelligence to analyze elements such as age, body type, skin tone, gender expression and accessibility, its creators say, to create a score between zero and 100, with higher scores deemed as being more inclusive.
The scores will be available to customers of XR Extreme Reach, which said its clients include large advertisers such as Procter & Gamble and Indeed, and won’t be publicly released."
So, say that Ford wants to put a white man in its truck commercials? Bad score! A brand puts a white woman in their ad? Bad score! No one wants to see that! Put minorities in your ads or else!
