In Case You Missed It.

🌧️ Ecuador has declared a national emergency due to torrential rain and massive flooding that has so far reportedly claimed 9 lives and damaged over 4,000 homes.

🧒 A child in Texas died after testing positive for the measles. It is not clear if measles were the cause of death. HHS Secretary Kennedy says that this outbreak is not unusual as there were 16 outbreaks last year and there have been 4 this year so far.

🔗 Jeff Bezos says that the Washington Post is going to begin “writing every day in support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets.”

🇷🇴🚔 Romanian police have arrested Calin Georgescu, the front-runner in last year’s annulled presidential election. Police conducted raids on his supporters and people tied to his campaign. He is a critic of NATO and the European Union so naturally the media calls him “far right.”

🇪🇺 President Trump conducted his first Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. He said that “the European Union was formed in order to screw the United States.” LOL! Mostly they’re screwing their own people first though.

🎙️ Gavin Newsom launched a dope new podcast.

🇮🇷❌ Iran says that it is not interested in a diplomatic talk with the Trump administration under the threat of sanctions.

Lead: Hostage Exchange

Israel has begun to release over 600 hostages. This release happened in exchange for the bodies of four hostages to the Red Cross, which happened as planned.

According to Al Jazeera, “there are 115 Palestinian Palestinians serving life and long sentences who are being released. Only 43 of them will be released to the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem. Ninety-seven of them will be exiled out of the occupied Palestinian territory, and 11 are originally from Gaza, so they will be returning to the Gaza Strip.”

Exiled where?

One of the hostages has reportedly been in a coma for months so Palestinian medical teams are awaiting his release.

The World Health Organisation says that over 160 healthcare workers from Gaza are still in Israeli detention centers and they are “deeply concerned about the wellbeing and safety of Palestinian health workers in Israeli detention”, after reports that detainees in Israeli prison facilities were routinely subjected to violence and mistreatment.

These workers could be a part of the next stage of the ceasefire. Hamas says that the remaining Israeli hostages will only be released if Israel commits to the ceasefire deal.

Is It Epstein Day?

Attorney General Pam Bondi said that she will start releasing information on the Jeffrey Epstein case as early as today. She said this on Fox News on Wednesday night.

When she was asked why these files have yet to be released she said this: “There are well over 250 victims. We have to make sure that their identify is protected. Tomorrow, Jessie, you’re going to see some Epstein information being released by my office.”

When Rep. Anna Paulina Luna asked the Department of Justice for more information on Epstein as well as the JFK and MLK assassinations – an overly broad request if I’ve ever heard one – she was told that the DOJ would review her request and get back to her in order to protect the “integrity of criminal investigations and prosecutions…[and] uphold the rule of law, keep our nation safe, and protect civil rights.”

Does this indicate that there are still prosecutions moving forward regarding these cases?

So what could we see today from the DOJ regarding Epstein? Client lists? Flight logs? Will we see more of Whitney Webb has uncovered and his connection to Israel? I somehow doubt it.

Flu Vaccine Meeting Canceled.

Every year in March, the Food and Drug Administration meets to decide which viruses they will vaccinate for in the annual flu vaccine.

This year, inexplicably, that meeting was canceled.

But Dr. Paul Offit, a member of that panel, told CNBC that he received an email that the meeting would be canceled but did not say why.

I am going to take a wild guess. The annual flu vaccine does not go through clinical trials. It also is not tested as to whether or not it stops infection in humans. It is only tested to see if recipients produce antibodies. Maybe, just maybe, new management at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which manages the FDA, have indicated that they want real testing for the annual flu vaccine, which is why manufacturers may be slamming on the pause button?

What do you think of that hypothesis?

Speaking of vaccines, shares of Moderna were down 5% on Wednesday on news that HHS was “re-evaluating its $590 million contract to develop a bird flu vaccine.”

What’s Trending?

Monica Lewinsky is trending because she was a guest on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast and said that Bill Clinton should have resigned amid the scandal involving their affair.

Floyd Mayweather, the undefeated boxing champion, is trending for saying that President Trump is the “best President we’ve ever had.”

Amazon Alexa is trending because Amazon announced Alexa+, a “next-generation assistant powered by generative AI.”

62%. That is the pay raise that the union for dock workers agreed to on Tuesday.

Crying: Disease Outbreak

Officials in the Congo say that a new “hemorrhagic-like illness” has killed at least 50 people.

The disease is not Marburg virus or Ebola because patients tested negative for that. It does seem to be “hemorrhagic-like” with symptoms including fever, vomiting and internal bleeding. In children, doctors say they experience “persistent crying.”

This is from The Daily Mail: “In a local health department report, officials added that the first three cases, in children under five who reportedly ate a dead bat, also suffered from diarrhea and fatigue.”

Somebody get these children something else to eat! Persistent hunger is a problem in Congo due to government corruption, among other factors. Reportedly, about half of the patients were malnourished and also tested positive for malaria.

So are you safe if you don’t eat bats? Or is this something that could spread from person-to-person? The WHO says it could be but there is also cause to be cautious. We have no idea how they are testing or confirming this disease nor do we know how reliable those tests are.
