Lead: The Coup of President Biden
The Democratic voters voted for Joe Biden in the primaries but they won't get to support Joe Biden because the political elites have subverted the election to their own calculations. This is a political coup, I don't know how to see it any other way.
President Biden has now endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to run for President but she did not win even one state in the 2020 primaries. The democrats did not choose her but she is being forced upon them.
This is similar to the way the donor class tanked the campaign of Bernie Sanders in 2016 in favor of Hillary Clinton. The Biden camp prevented a competitive primary this year in order to keep power and place Kamala Harris somewhere the voters did not choose.
But what will her candidacy stand for? Is there any reason to think she is not just as warmongering as President Biden, if not more so? She has lied about the war in Ukraine which has led to hundreds of thousands of deaths. She was supposedly "in charge" at the Southern border and ignored whistleblowers who warn about the trafficking of children.
And how will she stand up against former President Trump? Early polls had her doing only slightly better than President Biden against President Trump but never underestimate the Democrats' ability to distract from their murderous record with race and gender.
Netanyahu Addressing U.S. Congress This Week… Perfect Timing
The White House says that it is pretty sure that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not attack President Biden when he speaks to Congress this week. Given how the war in Gaza has reflected so poorly on the President, it is somewhat surprising that they are taking the risk but he has nothing to lose now.
Israel attacked civilians in Yemen on Saturday, killing three people and injuring close to 90. Israel said that this was a retaliation for Houthi strikes and in fact the Houthis say that they want a direct conflict with Israel and they are happy that they've got one. The Houthis have stepped up attacks on Israel in response to Israel's war on Gaza. It's terrifying. No one is standing down.
The United Nations is again calling on Israel to halt all attacks on civilians. Will Washington politicians do the same?
Will the White House try to stop this violence or allow Netanyahu to make a plea to support his side? Why would they give a platform to a foreign leader to pitch support for a foreign war that is so unpopular with the American people? It is hard to understand the political calculations that allow the Biden administration to let this happen but they're going to.

Adidas has apologized to Hadid and the other models in the campaign.
Listeria is trending because the CDC says that an outbreak in deli meat has caused two deaths.
Polar bear is trending because Baffin, a 7 year-old polar bear died in a zoo in Canada.
Climate Alarmism Is Costly
A new study shows that climate change policy could be "devastating… for the world, eradicating at least $250 trillion in welfare, or 5.4% of all future global GDP."
Why? Because climate policy is usually misguided and expensive and there are other more pressing issues to solve in order to improve human welfare including health, education, and nutrition. In other words, climate policy is not the best way to improve human welfare.
According to researcher Bjorn Lomborg, GDP growth correlates highly with health indicators such as life expectancy and with under-5 mortality, as well as with education. Climate policies that harm GDP growth hurt the poor first and hamper their ability to improve their lot in life.
But what about the planet? Well, climate models are not conclusive that human activity is actually harming the earth. The media tells us that hurricanes, floods, wildfires and droughts are worse than ever but the data does not support that.
