Lead: Israel's War Expands

Israel is planning a strike on Iran while simultaneously striking inside Lebanon and in Gaza.

Israel says that it struck a Hizbollah-linked medical facility in Beirut, killing at least nine people. They called it a "precision strike" but it hit in a densely populated area deep in the city. There is no such thing as a "precision strike." That notion is called the "precision paradox." It is based on the lie that civilians won't get hurt in military missions.

Israel acknowledged that the strikes from Iran did cause damage and pierce the Iron Dome, after initially denying that any missiles hit. President Biden says that he supports a retaliation but prefers that Israel not hit a nuclear facility. Who cares what he prefers? He didn't want Israel to invade Lebanon but they're doing it anyway.

According to Al Jazeera, "Iran sent a message to the US via Qatar saying that it does not seek regional war but adding that 'the phase of unilateral self-restraint has ended.' It also warned any Israeli attack would be met with an “unconventional response” that includes targeting Israeli infrastructure."

What does that mean? If this professor from the University of Tehran, Iran has countless underground missile sites with hundreds of thousands of missiles that were made after the invasion of Iraq to deal with the invasion of the United States. And what will they do in the case of all-out war? Obliterate every Israeli and American base in the Middle East.

Diplomacy now!

FEMA Is Broke

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may not have enough funding to help victims of Hurricane Helene, according to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. The Biden/Harris administration approved funding for displaced victims of $750 per person.

If your home has been destroyed, what will $750 do? How can FEMA run out of money while NONE of our support for foreign war ever runs out of money? In New York City, illegal immigrants get $10,000 debit cards with no ID check, no restrictions and no fraud control. But American citizens get less than 10% of that under conditions of devastation?

Actually, check that. According to FEMA, this $750 is offered to non-citizens too.

More than 150,000 households have registered for assistance with FEMA and at least 167 people have died. According to Weather.com, "That makes Helene one of the top three deadliest hurricanes in 50 years behind Katrina and Maria."

DHS Letting In Terrorists

The Department of Homeland Security says that it cannot stop migrants with "terrorism ties" from illegally entering the U.S.

A new report from the DHS called "2025 Homeland Threat Assessment" says this: "Over the next year, we expect some individuals with terrorism ties and some criminal actors will continue their efforts to exploit migration flows and the complex border security environment to enter the United States.”

Not only that but the DHS says that "the production, trafficking, and sale of illegal drugs by transnational and domestic criminal actors will continue to pose the most lethal threat to communities in the United States."

In other words: We don't got this.

$400 million. That is how much Pink Floyd will make selling their recorded-music and name-and-likeness rights to Sony Music.

$0. That was the balance that many Bank of America customers saw when they logged into their accounts on Wednesday due to a massive outage. They justifiably freaked out. The bank says that it was a glitch that has been fixed.

48%. That is the Rotten Tomatoes score for Joker: Folie à Deux, which opens this weekend. The audience score looks slighty better.

Jack Smith's Last-Ditch Effort?

The government took another major stab at trying to indict former President Trump for his role in overturning the 2020 election. The document lays out exactly how the government will prosecute President Trump if a judge allows them to move forward.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that much of the president's acts were protected under the role of his office. Special Counsel Jack Smith now tries to delineate acts that they claim were done on a personal capacity so that they can prosecute those separately.

Could this be damning to the President? Surely it could if U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan accepts this new distinction in order to let the case move forward on this basis. But what about the fact that a court has separately ruled that Special Counsel Smith was unconstitutionally appointed in the first place? How can he still be working in this capacity when a judge ruled that his role "violates the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution"?

Trump's legal team argued that publicly releasing this document in the weeks before the election would influence the election. Will it?
