Lead: Israel Attacks Iranian Consulate

credit: tass

The United Nations will hold an emergency meeting today after Israel launched an attack in Syria, aimed at an Iranian consulate. At least two generals and give others were killed in the attack. Embassies and consulates are considered sovereign land and therefore Israel attacked Iran.

Iran has promised to respond in a “decisive” manner and that is obviously making everyone nervous.

This meeting was requested by Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky who said that “Iranians have turned to the UN Security Council to condemn this action.”

The attack followed days of Israel ramping up attacks in Syria in a clear attempt to draw the U.S. into a war with Syria. Journalist Kevork Almassian was on Redacted on Monday and explained the reasons why. Watch for this. They will undoubtedly start to sell us yet another war with Syria even as the U.S. is already illegally occupying Syria as we live and breathe.

Israel Bans Foreign Press

Israel’s parliament passed a law Monday giving it the power to shut down all foreign news media. The law is specifically aimed at Al Jazeera.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that “Al Jazeera harmed Israel’s security, actively participated in the October 7 massacre, and incited against IDF soldiers. It is time to remove the shofar of Hamas from our country.” He called them the “terrorist channel” and decreed that they will no longer broadcast from Israel.

Israel will also block the channel from being shown to Israelis. The U.S. indicated that it was uncomfortable with this because it is obviously a free press is essential, even more so during wartime. Still, the U.S. is close to approving an $18 billion arms deal for Israel, which would include 50 F-15 fighter jets.

Al Jazeera is one of the few places where you can find actual coverage of the destruction in Gaza. For instance, Monday when seven aid workers from the World Central Kitchen were killed in Gaza. That story was covered by Reuters and the Associated Press too. The AP showed passports indicating that the strike killed many international people, including those from Britain, Australia, Poland, and a U.S. and Canadian dual citizen.

Louisiana Says Stay Out

credit: collegelearners.com

The Louisiana Senate has passed a law forbidding the state from cooperating with the World Health Organization, World Economic Forum or the United Nations. They will decide the laws in their state, not international unelected globalists. Wow, so punk rock!

This is Senate Bill 133. It states that “No rule, regulation, fee, tax, policy, or mandate of any kind of the World Health Organization, United Nations, and the World Economic Forum shall be enforced or implemented by the state of Louisiana or any agency, department, board, commission, political subdivision, governmental entity of the state, parish, municipality, or any other political entity.”

The bill has only passed the state senate. It now moves on to the house.

The question is: can they do this? If President Biden signs the WHO Pandemic Treaty, could Louisiana stay sovereign? If so, could other states do this?

What’s Trending?

Solar Eclipse is trending because people are trying to figure out where they can see the last visible solar eclipse in the U.S. until 2044. It happens next week, April 8. NASA plans to launch a bunch of rockets that same day. Coincidence?

Sabrina Carpenter is trending for wearing lingerie in this ad for Skims, the company owned by Kim Kardashian.

American Airlines is trending because it changed its pet policy to allow customers traveling with pets to have a carry-on bag. Previously, the pet carrier counted as the carry-on bag, but now customers with a pet can have both.

News By The Numbers

25%. That is how much stock of Donald Trump’s social media company dropped in value on Monday after releasing financial results. Fox Business reporter Charles Gasparino took flak on social media for saying $DJT’s financials aren’t even bad, they’re atrocious.

13. That is how many miners are presumed dead in Russia after a mine collapse.

$43.9 billion. That is the deficit that Ukraine anticipates having by the end of 2024. They recently accepted two loans from the World Bank, which they expect to pay back with the help of Western allies.

J.K. Rowling Takes on Scotland

credit: sky

In the U.K., Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling should be free to say these things after Scotland’s Hate Crime Act came into effect. The author said that she would submit to arrest for her right to post this on X.

The Prime Minister said that she must not be criminalized ”for stating simple facts on biology.” Clearly, Rowling published this inflammatory post in order to protect less powerful women from being prosecuted for saying something similar. The government may not have the guts to arrest Rowling but would other women get the same pass?

In Australia, they don’t. X is suing the government there for requesting that the company remove a post about Australian citizen Teddy Cook, a biological woman who has advocated for tax-payer funded surgeries for all trans Australians. X blocked the post in Australia but it was shared in different formats so X faced a $800,000 fine. They are suing in order to protect free speech in Australia.
