Lead: State Department Silence: Americans May Be Dead, But Israel Gets a Pass
Israel attacked southern Lebanon over the weekend and killed at least five people, including three children. Israel says they were targeting Hezbollah but they hit a family with three children.
The Lebanese government claims that at least four of the civilians were children and U.S. citizens.
The U.S. State Department didn’t commit to investigating. Instead, it said the victims were probably not U.S. citizens.
“While the situation is fluid, so far, indications are that the five killed were not U.S. citizens. In fact, one had an unused immigrant visa petition in the past,” a U.S. State Department spokesperson said.
The State Department has consulates abroad to assist in U.S. citizens living abroad. And yet in this instance, they’re not that interested in figuring out if any of their own were droned by an “ally”?
Contrast this to how the State Department acted when Russia detained Brittney Griner for traveling with drugs into the country. They freaked out. Or when Evan Gershkovich was detained for spying on the Russian government. They also freaked out.
But when Israel kills civilians, including children, and reports surface that Americans might be among the dead, the response is a shrug and a denial. No urgency, no outrage, no diplomatic offensive, no investigation.
Israel, for its part, said that they would investigate this.
“The IDF regrets any harm to uninvolved individuals and operates to minimize harm as much as possible. The incident is under review,” they said in a statement.
Right.
No, Trump Didn’t Say Tylenol Causes Autism
No, the Trump administration did not say that Tylenol causes autism. What they announced is a plan to update warning labels and physician guidance on acetaminophen use in pregnancy, noting that while some studies suggest a link to neurodevelopmental issues, the evidence is mixed.
At the same time, the Department of Health and Human Services unveiled the first FDA-recognized treatment optionfor certain autism-related speech deficits using leucovorin, with Medicaid coverage and new NIH trials to follow. The initiative also includes $50 million in new research grants under the Autism Data Science Initiative to probe genetic, environmental, and nutritional factors in autism.
Meanwhile, much of the media has rushed to declare flatly that there is no association between Tylenol exposure and autism even though a study published just last month found “positive associations of prenatal acetaminophen use with ADHD, ASD, or NDDs in offspring.”
Why is the media so resistant to even modest calls for caution in medical guidelines?
Upgrade Your Savings
Leaving money in a savings account right now is like standing still on a moving treadmill—you’re falling behind without even realizing it. Banks are paying under 1%, while inflation is 3–4%. That gap means your savings are actually losing value.

Kimmel Returns Tuesday—But Not on Sinclair’s ABC Stations
Good news everyone! Coastal media elites will get their way! ABC says that it will resume Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday after suspending him for a few days over misstatements about the murder of Charlie Kirk.
But not everyone is on board. Syndicator Sinclair Media Group confirmed their 30 ABC affiliates will not air it, and it’s unclear if Nexstar will follow suit even though they were the first to refuse to carry the show last week. Advertisers and viewers may also stay away, even if ABC resumes taping.
Hollywood, of course, has declared this their Rosa Parks moment. Howard Stern said he could “no longer keep [his] mouth shut” in defense of Kimmel. He has literally never kept his mouth shut.
ABC explained:
“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”
That framing suggests ABC acted independently, despite the liberal chorus insisting the Trump administration forced Kimmel’s suspension. Will they retract those breathless accusations? Not a chance.
In the end, Hollywood actors saved the job of a Hollywood actor. Their compassion for the working class knows no bounds.

The Pentagon Just Claimed the Right to Censor the Press
The Pentagon has new rules for journalists that would give them the right to censor news.
Reporters are now being asked to sign agreements giving the Pentagon the power to authorize news reports and bar publication of unclassified information unless officials approve it. Refusing to sign means losing press credentials altogether.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said this about the new rules: “The ‘press’ does not run the Pentagon — the people do. The press is no longer allowed to roam the halls of a secure facility. Wear a badge and follow the rules — or go home.”
But in this case the badge is essentially a censorship contract that binds the press to the government’s content rules. The press should not be bound by the content rules of the government. Would Julian Assange abide by this? Absolutely not!
President Trump was asked about this on Sunday and said that he doesn’t agree with it.
