Israel may use seawater to flood the tunnel systems in Gaza, according to U.S. officials. The Wall Street Journal reports that "sentiment inside the U.S." for this plan "is mixed.”
A man named Josh Paul resigned over the U.S. support of arms for Israel. A recent interview he did with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour has gone viral in which he claims that Israeli attacks on civilians in Gaza “will prolong the suffering of both the Israeli and Palestinian people for another generation."
He says that many inside the State Department feel that this is a “moral disaster and a policy disaster for the United States.”
He condemned the violence of the October 7 attacks from Hamas but claimed that the U.S. regularly looks the other way when Israel violates international laws. The death of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was one example.
Another example Paul gives was when a charity told the U.S. government about the rape of a 13 year-old Palestinian boy in an Israeli prison, the State Department investigated and found it to be a credible accusation. Paul says that the next day, the Israeli government raided the charity and declared it a terrorist entity.
Paul says that Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu needs this war to go on as long as possible so as to avoid the reckoning that is coming for him. Turkish President Edrogan said on Monday that Netanyahu should and probably will face war crimes charges by the International Criminal Court.
In related news, the New York Times reports that a rocket launched on October 7 by Hamas hit the Sdot Micha military base where Israel is suspected of housing nuclear weapons. The U.S. has pretended not to know that Israel has nuclear weapons since the 1980s when Mordechai Vanunu came forward. He has been illegally detained in Israel for nearly four decades.
How much of the “aid” the U.S. “sends” to Ukraine gets to Ukraine? Very little, according to a new report.
The report by the American Enterprise Institute shows that approximately $60 billion of the $68 billion in military and other assistance approved by Congress has stayed in the United States. The funds go to weapons factories in Florida, Ohio, and Missouri.
This is further proof that “aid to Ukraine” is a money laundering scheme for the U.S. On Monday, a letter published by White House budget director Shalanda Young admitted as much. She said:
“While we cannot predict exactly which U.S companies will be awarded new contracts, we do know the funding will be used to acquire advanced capabilities to defend against attacks on civilians in Israel and Ukraine—for example, air defense systems built in Alabama, Texas, and Georgia and vital subcomponents sourced from nearly all 50 states. We will modernize vital munitions and equipment like Javelins made in Alabama; Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) made in West Virginia, Arkansas and Texas; tactical vehicles made in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana; and 155mm artillery shells made in Pennsylvania, Arkansas, and Iowa and many other states.”
A separate report from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute confirms that U.S. firms accounted for 51% of the world’s arms revenue.
Meanwhile, people in Ukraine are dying on the death mission that is taking back the Donbas region. Ukrainian President Zelensky admitted that the war is not going well but still, he says, “We are not backing down, I am satisfied."

The drug company that makes Wegovy, the injectable weight loss drug that is so popular these days, wants to make a drug that prevents obesity.
The drug maker, Novo Nordisk, which is based on Denmark, has launched a research project to focus on “transformational prevention” of obesity using “artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to develop a “deep understanding” of obesity as a disease.”
They say that they are looking for "patterns in genomics, epigenetics, which is how the environment influences our genes, and proteomics, how the body’s proteins interact and function. They may also explore questions such as how the drugs can push people in the direction of eating healthier food."
They MAY look into the effects of food? It’s not a major focus of this great mystery of how people become obese?? It’s a maybe??
The company’s CEO Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen admits that the problem with Wegovy is that patients can never go off of it if they want to avoid weight gain. That is why they are looking for a prevention drug.
Wegovy has been shown to cause cancer in rats. Would you take a pill to prevent obesity from this drug company?

A new study shows that American parents are giving very young children melatonin to sleep in increasing amounts which has increased the incidence of melatonin poisoning.
Melatonin is a hormone that a body begins producing at four months of age in order to induce sleepiness. It has a reputation for being “natural” but research has shown that it is an endocrine disruptor, meaning it disrupts the body's natural hormone balance in ways that have yet to be understood.
According to this study, parents are giving children as young as one years old melatonin and some on a daily basis because they are concerned that their children can’t sleep. Doctors point out that the increase in screen time for children can be keeping them from sleeping because melatonin is known to be regulated by light.
The increased use of melatonin has led to a 530% increase in melatonin poisoning and deaths since 2012.
I get it, sleep training a child is hard. Reducing screen time for children is hard. Using melatonin to get your child to sleep instead of doing those hard things is not the answer though.
