"This is a U.S.-French proposal to which the prime minister did not even respond," the Prime Minister's Office said. "The news about a so-called directive to moderate the fighting in the north is also the opposite of the truth… The prime minister instructed the IDF to continue fighting with full force, and according to the plans that were presented to him."
The proposed ceasefire was published on the White House website. It says: “We call on all parties, including the governments of Israel and Lebanon, to endorse the temporary ceasefire immediately…to give a real chance to a diplomatic settlement."
It has become clear that the U.S. has lost its ability to influence Israel. This week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken looked incredibly uncomfortable with Israel's attacks, yet would not condemn them either.
Jewish Senator Bernie Sanders has proposed a bill "to block arms sales to Israel." Meanwhile, Senator Tom Cotton has asked President Biden to speed up arms delivery to Israel.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams says that he is innocent of the charges he's been indicted on and that he is a target of a political persecution. The kind that Democrats insist is not happening.
The mayor has been charged with accepting illegal campaign contributions from other countries from as far back as 2014. He is the first sitting New York City mayor to be charged in a criminal indictment.
Adams says that he will fight this and that the indictment is based on lies. He said this in a statement on Wednesday:
"I always knew that If I stood my ground for New Yorkers that I would be a target – and a target I became. If I am charged, I am innocent and I will fight this with every ounce of my strength and spirit."
What would have made him a target? This. He has repeatedly spoken out about illegal immigration and how it is imploding his city. He has begged the Biden/Harris administration for help and criticized open borders. Could it be that simple or is there more here?
The prosecutor, Damian Williams, will speak about the matter later today. He is the same lead prosecutor on the Diddy case. That guy is busy!

Vice President Kamala Harris released her economic plan on Wednesday. It is heavily targeted at the middle class.
Oh, haven't you heard? She's from the middle class.
The first 9 pages of the "plan" is a throat clearing about how top economic advisors think she would be better for the economy than Trump. How would they know that before the plan was published?
The plan goes on to detail how she will expand the child tax credit, which admittedly is a good idea. To lower prices, she says that she will invest in food supply chains and ban grocery price gouging. Neither of those things are the problem causing high food prices but okay, do that.
One interesting bit that caught my eye is the Neighborhood Homes Tax Credit, which would give tax breaks to homeowners in low-income neighborhoods if they construct or renovate in those neighborhoods in order to prevent these areas from becoming slums. That's a good idea if properly implemented.
How would Harris pay for her spending? She hasn't really said much more than that she wants to increase taxes, which would be hard without Congressional approval.
Read the plan for yourself and decide on the substance.

News By The Numbers

$1. That is how much Wendy's will sell a Frosty for through the end of September in partnership with McBroken, a site that tracks broken ice cream machines at McDonald's.
$104. That is the price of admission at Disneyland but a woman was arrested for trying to sneak her children in as toddlers, who would be free. When she was confronted she was reportedly aggressive towards park security. This was allegedly not the first time she's done this. Still, the video of her little girls crying for help is a heartbreak.
50 minutes. That is how much longer every flight would be if scientists had their way in a proposal to reduce the amount of fuel on every flight by 5-7%.
Russia will make changes to its nuclear doctrine because, as they see it, the West is increasingly threatening them with a nuclear war.
Well the West is certainly not aiming for any peace with Russia, that's for sure.
President Vladimir Putin said that Russia would "update its nuclear doctrine to clearly define circumstances that could prompt Moscow to launch a nuclear strike."
This would even include attacks by non-nuclear states! Putin said: “Aggression against Russia by any non-nuclear state… supported by a nuclear power should be treated as their joint attack."
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov clarified this, saying "This should be viewed as a certain message… This is a message that warns these countries of the consequences should they participate in an attack on our country by various means, not necessarily nuclear."
This is terrifying because the West continues to allow Ukraine to attack Russia and Russia is saying that it will use nuclear retaliation if this keeps up. At the same time, President Biden found an additional $5.5 billion for Ukraine to keep up their attacks on Russia! And yet no one in the West will engage in diplomatic talks with Russia! Come on!
