Lead: From War to Holy War

President Trump declared that “we’ve won” the war against Iran on Wednesday but no one told Iran. According to reports, Iran has set at least two ships up in flames for attempting to cross through the Strait of Hormuz.

Talk about “testing the waters“!

Since President Trump cannot will oil through the shipping route, the White House announced that it will release “400 million barrels of oil from various national petroleum reserves.” That means that the U.S. will dip into its emergency supply because it is trying to handle this very predictable consequence of the war it started.

Speaking of how it all started, the New York Times reports that the first strike on the girls’ school in Tehran was in fact the fault of the U.S. military. They called it a “targeting mistake.”

“Striking a school full of children is sure to be recorded as one of the most devastating single military errors in recent decades. Iranian officials have said the death toll was at least 175 people, most of them children,” according to the Times.

When asked about this, President Trump said he didn’t know about it.

This is implausible. This was the strike that launched the war. It was the opening salvo. He surely knows about it.

While the world focuses on the war in Iran, Arab leaders are warning that Israel has occupied and closed off the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Last week, Israel closed the mosque under the pretense of dangers from Iranian missiles. This is a very important place of worship for Muslims, even more so during Ramadan.

A statement from several leaders demands that Israel “immediately cease the closure of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, remove access restrictions to the Old City of Jerusalem, and refrain from obstructing Muslim worshippers’ access to the mosque.”

Could this be related to Jewish fundamentalists’ intentions to build the Third Temple on that same spot? Which would escalate this horrific global war into a religious war? Because that would escalate this horrific global war into an outright religious war that clearly nobody has won.

Russia Blames U.K. for Deadly Missile Strike

Russia says that it will hold the United Kingdom responsible for Ukraine’s deadly March 10 attack on the Russian city of Bryansk because the strike was “carried out using approximately seven British long-range Storm Shadow missiles.”

Ukraine confirmed that it carried out this attack, although Ukrainian President Zelensky claimed to be targeting “key” military factories. A factory that employed civilians. Russian media says the attack came during a shift change when employees were heading towards the exit.

At least seven civilians were killed and injured 42 others, including a teenager who has been hospitalized.

The Russian embassy in the U.K. said this:

“The missile operators were trained in the UK, and their targets were provided by British intelligence. It is evident that such a strike would have been impossible without the involvement of UK specialists. Therefore, the blood of the residents of Bryansk, including children, is therefore on the hands of the British military. This makes London complicit in the war crimes and terrorist acts of the neo-Nazi Kiev regime.”

With all eyes on Iran, it is worth remembering that yes, that war is still going on and yes, the West is still fighting dirty.

What’s Trending

Russell Brand is trending due to Internet rumors that he died. They started because Dan Bongino posted this. He was referring to the death of Charlie Kirk, not Russell Brand, who is presumably still alive and well.

NASA is trending because a 1,323-pound spacecraft reportedly crashed back to Earth on Wednesday. It was launched in 2012. NASA expected it to remain in space until 2034 but claims that “intense solar activity over the past several years hastened the A probe’s demise.”

Aldi coffee beans are trending because the Lazzio Luxe Blend won a gold medal in the Large Franchise Espresso category in the Golden Bean World Series. Which I didn’t know was a thing.
