Lead: Israel Rejects Gaza Ceasefire
Israel rejected a ceasefire plan with Hamas that would allow for hostage exchanges. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the proposal âdelusional.â
Hamas had called to a 135-day pause in the fighting and an exchange of all hostages. Netanyahu said that this would be âsurrendering to Hamasâ and that it would âinvite another massacre.â He says that his plan is to finish this his way.
âWe are on the way to an absolute victory,â Netanyahu said. “There is no other solution.”
Hamas had proposed releasing âall women (non-military), children, elderly, and sick Israeli hostages that remain in Gaza.â In exchange, they asked for the release of âall Palestinian women, children, sick and elderly prisoners over 50 years old from Israel prisons, and an additional 1,500 Palestinian prisoners.â Most of the Palestinians in Israeli custody are not prisoners. They are hostages, held illegally by Israel, many of them long before the October 7 Hamas attack on Tel Aviv. A new report from Israel’s Public Defender Office says that Israel is holding Palestinians in crowded prisons, violating basic human rights.
If you care about hostages, you have to care about all hostages, no matter their race or religion.
In related news, Israel says that it will launch an investigation into the number of people the Israeli army killed on October 7 in what they are calling âfriendly fire.â This comes after the government used the death of a 12 year-old girl to stoke outrage but new evidence shows that she was killed by an Israeli tank shell along with her neighbors.
The farmers of Europe have been heard and the European Commission has made changes to proposed changes in response to massive protests throughout the block. However, the EUâs plan is still to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040.
Recent protests began in the Netherlands and spread to Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium and other EU countries. U.K. countries have also joined in to show solidarity because EU plans were disproportionately aimed at farmers and the food industry. Now the EU says that âall sectorsâ will need to contribute to this effort.
The EU withdrew its plan to eliminate half of all pesticides by 2040. The new plan also removes recommendations for citizens to change their behaviors such as eating less meat and pushing to end fossil fuel subsidies.
This is a non-binding proposal that the EU has instated to keep in line with the Paris Climate Accords.
Has this move appeased the protesters? Doubtful. In Spain, police used tear gas to dispel the farmers who are not appeased by the EUâs plan.
Fed Rate Cuts Are Good News For Gold and Silver
The Fed may be done with rate hikes! That’s great news for precious metals like gold and silver. Â
Bank of America expects gold to hit $3,000 an ounce, and America’s largest precious metals company Lear Capital is giving away one ounce of silver for every ounce of gold you buy! They’re also giving you $250 in your account. That’s free money.
So as the U.S. dollar continues to face massive debt pressure, investors have been pouring back into precious metals. If you have your retirement in a dollar format, then it will continue to lose value every day that it’s there in a bank. It’s time to move some of your retirement into gold and silver and away from government currencies.
Gold and Silver have sustained for over 4,000 years while every government currency in world history has collapsed. Every one of them. Will this time be any different? Of course not.
Right now, you can get a FREE gold kit and learn how gold and silver can help you protect your family against these central banks. Visit LearRedacted.com right now to get your TOTALLY FREE Gold Kit and start taking action today.
Let’s Talk About Those “Melting” Icebergs
credit:Â reuters
Is arctic sea ice melting due to human-caused climate change? New research shows that arctic ice has stopped declining in the last 17 years and no one has yet been able to prove that carbon emissions “cause” anything.
Arctic ice declined steadily from a 1978 until 2007 when ice levels hit record lows. Since 2007, that decline stopped and there has been observed some increase in arctic ice even as CO2 concentrations have increased steadily. This shows that there is not a linear relationship between carbon emissions and ice melt and that the reality is far more complicated.
In the Antarctic, sea ice decline has been minimal, according to this study. Could it perhaps be because the West Antarctic Ice Sheet lies above at least 138 documented volcanoes? That might have something to do with it, right?
Climate scientists know this even if the media doesnât. Their models are hotly debated and sensitive to manipulation. Given that Al Gore won a Nobel Prize in 2007 when ice levels were low and he predicted that sea ice in the summer would disappear by now, maybe he should correct the record? Or the media? Someone?
10. That is how many people have been subpoenaed to testify as to the affair between Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis and Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade. Willis filed a motion asking a judge to dismiss those subpoenas on the grounds that attempts to uncover her relationship are âsalaciousâ and that âmaliciousâ and an attempt to delay the case.

The Democratic Party is losing the Black and Hispanic voters that they love to pay lip service to. A recent Gallup survey showed that the party has lost voters in both groups and has slipped in young voters too.
Democrats still lead Republicans in those groups but their decline in numbers is fast and precipitous.
These shifts in the party affiliation of key subgroups provide the demographic backstory for how Democrats went from enjoying significant leads over Republicans between 2012 and 2021, to slight deficits in 2022 and 2023,â Gallup said about this survey. âThe 27% of US adults identifying as Democrats and the 43% identifying as or leaning Democratic are both new lows in Gallupâs trend.â
Could it be because Democrats betray the people they say theyâre helping by destroying their neighborhoods, economies and schools? It would also be interesting to ask these people who abandon their previous party if they think the opposite party has the answers.
