Lead: Israel Ready to Bomb Iran According “Leaked” Documents

Did the U.S. spy on Israel? “Leaked documents” appear to show that the U.S. spied on the Israeli Air Force to determine their plans to attack Iran.
This feels off. First off, Israel is an ally of the U.S. and does as Israel commands. I would be surprised if the U.S. could authorize a breakfast service without Israel’s permission.
The U.S. has publicly supported an attack on Iran while asking Israel to show restraint. Perhaps this “leak” is the U.S. way of pretending they are not in on whatever is planned? That also is hard to believe.
The leak cites imagery analysis, saying that Israel’s air force “continued air-launched ballistic missile (ALBM) handling, covert UAV operations, and conducted a second large-force employment (LFE)” between Oct. 15 and Oct. 16.
The leaked documents also show that Israel has nuclear weapons. This is the biggest “No Duh” in politics. Of course Israel has nuclear weapons and the U.S. likes to pretend that they don’t. They’ve had them since the 1960’s.
Meanwhile, Israel continues its ground invasion of Lebanon. Axios has reported that the U.S. allow the IDF to freely operate in southern Lebanon as a condition to ending the war there.
New Diddy Lawsuits Emerge

A group of new lawsuits against Diddy were filed on Sunday night. These are civil lawsuits brought by victims, not the government. One of them alleges that the rapper drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl while two celebrities joined at a VMA afterparty in New York in September of 2000.
Ironically, this case would be beyond the statute of limitations by previous laws, but new laws enacted in 2019 allow child victims to file cases until they are 55 years old.
The new victim is anonymously named as Jane Doe in the filings. She claims that Diddy and a male and female celebrity were in on the assault. Combs attended the 2000 VMAs with Jennifer Lopez as his date.
Diddy’s lawyers are asking the courts to reveal the accusers’ names because, they argue, they cannot “play a guessing game” to defend themselves against people they don’t know.

Pick The Embryo You Want

A new startup claims that it can let couples screen embryos for IQ and other “naughty traits that everybody wants”, including sex, height, risk of obesity and risk of mental illness. Couples seeking IVF can pay $50,000 and weed out their prospective babies for the traits that they don’t want.
This reproductive eugenics is straight out of the film Gattaca. God help us.
The company is called Heliospect. It created an embryo screening tool based on data provided by UK Biobank, “a taxpayer-funded store of genetic material donated by half a million British volunteers, which aims to only share data for projects that are ‘in the public interest.'”
The Guardian calls this an “ethical minefield.” I’ll say! Did U.K. volunteers know that their genetic material would be used like this??
News By The Numbers

Cynthia Erivo is trending because she freaked out that a fan made a poster of her in the upcoming Wicked movie to look like the original Broadway play poster. In the poster, the witch hat covers Elphaba’s eyes but Erivo was upset to be depicted like that. She said that she “chose to look right down the barrel of the camera.” She called the fan art “the wildest, most offensive thing” she has seen and that she feels erased and hurt. I can think of a lot of more offensive things. There are two major world wars going on, girl. There are more important things than seeing your eyes in a gif.
Jennifer Lawrence is trending because her agent confirmed that she is pregnant with her second child.
Pharrell Williams is trending because the premiere of the Lego movie about his life was disrupted by animal rights protestors who were protesting the use of fur by Louis Vuitton, :where Williams serves as men’s creative director.”
Supersized Election
President Trump took a shift at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania this weekend while on the campaign trail. The restaurant had reportedly been closed for the event but he did serve patrons.
He did it partially to troll Kamala Harris for unfounded claims that she worked at McDonald’s when she was in college.
A McDonald’s franchisee released this statement from McDonald’s but the statement has not been verified. It admits that there is no record of Harris working at McDonald’s and Harris has not herself submitted any proof. So who knows? Why would she lie about this? And wouldn’t it be easy to prove since it is such a point of contention? As Vice President, she had to have been vetted at the highest level for security clearances. Why do we have to be left to wonder about this?
The video of President Trump working at the fast food chain has been viewed over 19 million times as of this writing.
