Lead: Nuclear Talks Under a Cloud of Double Standards
Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi will meet with U.S. delegates to continue nuclear peace talks this week. He will also meet with Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
He says that he seeks a "fair and equitable deal" but "what is not on the table [is] submission before threats."
It may be unreasonable to expect fairness from the IAEA. Iran released intelligence last year showing that Israel has had long-standing influence on the governing body, despite not ever submitting to weapons inspections themselves. Grossi himself was shown to be in direct communication with Israeli intelligence, even though Israel is not a party to the IAEA framework.
Iran also released intelligence on Israel's Soreq Nuclear Research Center, one of Israel’s known nuclear research facilities that, again, has never been inspected by the United Nations' nuclear body.
Given this evidence of Israeli influence and double standards in nuclear oversight, we should not be optimistic that the IAEA or the United States will make a real effort at a nuclear treaty with Iran.
After all, in the words of Senator Lindsay Graham, who spoke from Israel on Monday, "the wars of the future are being planned here in Israel.” He then admitted that "Israel is advancing new weaponry, far beyond us."
So we're not worried about inspecting those super advanced weapons at all?

Tom Pritzker, the chair of Hyatt Hotels, has resigned as the executive chairman of the hotel chain due to his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.
You can guess what his statement was about Epstein but here it is verbatim:
“I exercised terrible judgment in maintaining contact with them, and there is no excuse for failing to distance myself sooner."
Yeah… The emails show Pritzker and Epstein having many social engagements in the TEN years after Epstein was convicted and jailed for soliciting minors for prostitution. This calendar event shows Pritzker meeting with Epstein AND Ehud. We can safely assume that means Ehud Barak, the former Prime Minister of Israel, because Barak and Epstein were thick as thieves.
Why do we care about Tom Pritzker? Because the Pritzker family has some very interesting influence. His cousin is Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker. His other cousin is James Pritzker, who now goes by Jennifer, a retired lieutenant colonel from the Illinois National Guard. His other cousin is former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker.
Members of the Pritzker family, particularly Jennifer Pritzker and J.B. Pritzker, have used family wealth to fund and institutionalize gender identity ideology across medicine, law, education, and media. This is something that Epstein was also very interested in.
Tom Pritzker's close relationship with Epstein begets an important question about the Pritzker family's influence in American society as a whole. Researcher Jennifer Bilek has been warning about the Pritzker family for years and she was written off as transphobic. The Epstein revelations suggest her work deserves closer scrutiny.
Elana Meyers Taylor is trending because she won gold for the USA in the monobob event, which just means one-person bobsled. At 41 years old, she is now the oldest American woman to win gold in the Winter Games.
Jennifer Garner is trending because she is out promoting season 2 of The Last Thing He Told Me.
Anderson Cooper is trending because he announced that he will be leaving 60 Minutes on CBS News. Would you even notice if he hadn't announced it? 60 Minutes' ratings are in the toilet.
