Got a bear problem? No need for messy bear spray or a gun. Banjo and Banjo have the situation under control.
Wealthy Lake Tahoe homeowners are tired of bears breaking into their homes, and they’ve found the ideal solution: fearless dogs that love to haze bears.
The canine team was even deployed to the home of David Coverdale, lead singer of the 1980s rock band Whitesnake, after an unwanted visitor took a leisurely swim in his indoor pool.

Lead: Netanyahu Broadens West Bank Military Campaign
Just when you hoped Israel’s military campaign wouldn’t expand any further, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says it’s about to, this time in the occupied West Bank.
Netanyahu announced on Sunday, “The instructions we gave were to enter villages, search them, seize weapons and make arrests.” He also said Israel is “prepared to act more broadly against terrorist strongholds.” Who are the real terrorists here, though?
And they’re not hiding what’s coming, either.
Just two days earlier, Netanyahu and Katz released a joint statement ordering tougher military action in West Bank villages, more checkpoints, confiscation of weapons, and an acceleration of new settler outposts.
Reports of settler attacks continue to escalate, with reports of Palestinian communities coming under assault while Israeli forces tighten restrictions across the region.
Israel has been illegally occupying the West Bank and expanding settlements for decades, but has escalated its violence and ethnic cleansing under Netanyahu’s current government.
Even former Israeli leaders can see this for what it really is.
Earlier this year, Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert touched on the government’s actions, saying, “This is something that comes close to an attempt to make ethnic cleansing. And I speak up everywhere I can in the loudest voice I have in order to condemn it, because this is not something which is tolerable or which is acceptable by people that have different values of humanity and compassion.”
Yes, people are condemning Israel’s actions, as they should. But condemnation means very little if no one is willing to stop the killing of innocent people.
Vice President Vance and President Trump have added their condemnation statements as well, with Trump declaring: “It won’t happen because I gave my word to the Arab countries,” he said of West Bank annexation. “Israel would lose all of its support from the United States if that happened.”
Israel has not lost the support of the U.S; they’ve joined forces with them, effectively handing Israel the weapons, money, and support to finish the job.
School Humanoid Robot Debut Paused
A school district in western New York planned to become the first in the country to place a lifelike humanoid robot named Sally in a high school classroom to assist both students and teachers.
That plan has been stopped in its tracks. At least for now.
The pause came after the State Education Commissioner, Betty Rosa, sent a letter on July 24, expressing concerns: “Many parents, teachers, and stakeholders are understandably concerned about the presence of artificial intelligence technology in classrooms, particularly when it involves robots that resemble humans.”
The correspondence also included a reminder that several vendors already offer approved artificial intelligence products that comply with New York State’s data privacy and security requirements.
If AI tools already exist, why push for a $57,590 humanoid robot? Could there be a bigger plan at play here?
We’re told Sally isn’t here to replace teachers, and some may buy that. But it’s hard not to see this as a pilot program for replacing teachers. Why? Because Sally bots don’t ask for raises, benefits, or sick days, and most importantly, they are fully compliant.
The most unbelievable part about this situation is who’s providing the bots that will commingle with the children.
The creator of Sally is Realbotix, formerly known as Tokens.com. In 2024, they acquired Simulacra Corporation, the parent company of RealDoll, the supplier of realistic s x dolls. Although Realbotix has been trying to distance itself from that history, the connection still exists, and its bots reflect that with a similar “hot” yet “creepy” look.
And this is what they plan to put in front of our high school kids?
That should go well.

NASA is trending after U.S. astronaut Chris Williams and his Russian crewmates landed safely after an eight-month mission aboard the International Space Station.
Elaine Escoe is trending after being charged in an alleged $32 million COVID relief fraud scheme. She was on the FBI’s most wanted list with a $150,000 reward for information leading to her arrest. Strange how they make an effort to catch the criminals who profited from COVID, but never bothered to arrest those who created it.
