Would you hand out a LEGO mini-figure of yourself as a business card? Apparently some people do. They call it a "mini Lego LinkedIn."

Lead: Another Trump Assassination Attempt

credit: nypost

The Secret Service has thwarted another attack on former President Trump. Law enforcement said that the gunman named Ryan Routh was able to use shrubbery as a hide out to great effect. Shrubbery.

The last gunman was on an unsecured rooftop that Secret Service said that they did not monitor because it was too slanted, even though the rooftop was easily walkable.

So… slightly slanted roofs and shrubbery are obstacles to security U.S. politicians. Got it. Doesn't inspire much confidence, does it?

The gunman was caught while trying to escape the crime scene and is currently in custody. His political affiliations are varied. He supported Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy but has donated to 19 different Democratic causes. He was also an ardent supporter of the war in Ukraine, having reportedly recruited for that war in Kiev.

One odd coincidence is that both he and the previous Trump shooter were both in Blackrock commercials as extras. Blackrock is the company that heavily funds the war in Ukraine. That's weird, right?

President Trump thanked Secret Service on Truth Social and said that the job done was "ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING."

New Covid Variant Hitting Europe

credit: cdc

A new Covid variant is spreading through Europe and expected to become the dominant strain in the U.S. soon. It is called the XEC variant and it is said to be a hybrid of the KS. 1.1 and KP.3.3 variants.

Experts say that the symptoms are similar to that of the common cold and there are no signs that it is either more severe or more contagious than other variants. Experts also suggest Covid vaccination even though the vaccine was made to protect against the KP.2 strain and not the XEC strain. Also, the updated Covid vaccine had no clinical trials on humans.

West Cooking Up New Russia & Iran Propaganda

credit: nypost

The U.S. and the U.K. are warning that Iran and Russia could be working together on nuclear weapons.

This might be concerning if the U.S. had ever proven that Iran had a nuclear weapons program but they haven't. The U.S. has lied about Iran's nuclear program for decades so how can we believe them?

Last week Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this in England: "For its part, Russia is sharing technology that Iran seeks – this is a two-way street – including on nuclear issues as well as some space information.” He offered no proof.

Meanwhile, the West is NOT concerned about the nuclear threat coming from Ukraine's constant bombing of nuclear power plants in Zaporozhye and Kursk. At the IAEA General Conference, officials reportedly expressed concern about this.

"Unfortunately, the collective West downplays these threats and neglects the principles of nuclear safety in favor of short-term political interests," said Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev.

The Taylor Swift Effect

credit: instagram

President Trump said that he hates Taylor Swift on Truth Social this weekend after the singer endorsed Kamala Harris. It was a childish post after Swift's own childish post about being a childless cat lady.

According to The Telegraph, Swift's endorsement "may have backfired."

"A new poll from YouGov released Saturday found that only 8 percent of voters said the superstar’s approval would see them “somewhat” or “much more likely” to vote for Ms Harris. But the same poll, which ran on Sep 11 and 12, found one in five (20 per cent) of those surveyed would be less likely to vote for her after the endorsement."

Why? Because Taylor Swift hardly represents the voting populace. She has private jets and sold-out arena concerts, and most of her music is about being wronged by a man and taking no responsibility for her own actions. I should know. I am subjected to it ad nauseam by my daughters and am constantly trying to explain to them how these lyrics show immaturity. I think I have more cause to hate her than Donald Trump and yet, I took my daughters to her concert because my father took me to Paula Abdul in the 80s. Sigh.
