In Case You Missed It

☎️ Did you receive an SOS message on your cell phone overnight? You’re not alone. In the middle of the night millions of Americans’ cell phones stopped working due to widespread outages across AT&T, Verizon, Cricket Wireless, Boost Mobile and more. Why would all of them go down simultaneously? Hmmm.

🇬🇧 House of Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle is in threat of being ousted because he agreed to put forth a vote on a ceasefire in Gaza.

🇸🇬 Singapore reportedly paid Taylor Swift $2.8 million to make their city her only stop on her Southeast Asian tour next year.

🪭 Disney is under fire because an executive blamed its recent box office failures on fans.

The Lead: Israel says “No State For You”

Israel took up a vote in the Knesset on Wednesday regarding recognition of a Palestinian state. The result was a resounding no with 99 votes against it. Perhaps most surprising is that there were some who voted in favor.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this: “The Knesset came together in an overwhelming majority against the attempt to impose on us the establishment of a Palestinian state, which would not only fail to bring peace but would endanger the State of Israel.”

More extreme members of the Knesset said this:

“You will die, your children will die, your grandchildren will die, there won’t be a Palestinian state, there will never be.” – Hanoch Milbitsky

“I am personally proud of the ruins of Gaza, and that every baby, even 80 years from now, will tell their grandchildren what the Jews did.” – May Golan, Israel’s Minister for Advancement of Women.

Is this making Israel safer? Not today it didn’t. Two men from the West Bank allegedly went on a shooting spree in Jerusalem, killing one and injuring at least 12 people. Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said that Israel will respond with more guns.

“We’re distributing more and more guns. I think that today, everyone understands that guns save lives,” he said.

What a Crock of…

The city of Chicago will sue oil and gas companies and their lobbyist group for “allegedly deceiving the public about the climate crisis.”

The mayor is seeking money so that the city can rebuild infrastructure and “fix damage that has occurred.” New York City and dozens of other cities have already done something similar.

But how do you prove that oil and gas have caused climate change? No scientific models have proven that so far. Zero. Not the UN’s IPCC, not the Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project or CMIP, not the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Models have suggested human-caused climate change but there is by no means a consensus. To sue oil and gas companies, they’d have to prove this, wouldn’t they? How can they do that when scientists have yet to do it? Or are they hoping to intimidate Big Oil with litigation that they hope will settle out of court?

Meanwhile in the UK, the government announced that it will leave the energy charter treaty (ECT), which would allow fossil fuel companies to sue governments for lost revenues. So governments can sue fossil fuel companies but they don’t want to be sued right back? Interesting, right?

Google… Show Me A White Person

credit: x

Google Gemini just does not like white people. Google’s AI image generator has turned up ridiculously inaccurate image depictions such as Asian women being depicted as Nazis or Black women as U.S. Senators from the 1800s when no women had the right to even vote. It would be comical if it weren’t true.

When Gemini is asked to depict white, British or Irish people on purpose, it refuses, giving the excuse that it is “unable to generate images of people based on specific ethnicities or skin tones [in order to] avoid perpetuating harmful stereotypes and biases.” What is harmful about being white? Or Irish? The Irish were never a colonial power, they’re one of the most oppressed groups in history.

Yet when asked to depict images of people of color, it is all too happy. See this example. It would seem unreal but it’s real.

Google apologized for this on X and said that they’re working on it. One of the lead engineers that is working on it is Jack Krawczyk who rang in about it on Wednesday. He has many times espoused white privilege rhetoric on X. Are we to believe that this guy did not do this on purpose? There are no coincidences.

What’s Trending?

This video is trending because a woman says that she lost 35 pounds on the maximum dose of Ozempic but also has “debilitating side effects of hair loss, diarrhea and severe fatigue.” She also says that she has depression and anxiety. Sounds great, right?

Primark is trending because there were rumors that it would be closing but The Sun reports that it is not.

Kyle Rittenhouse is trending because he pointed out how he was treated differently than the Kansas City Shooters in that his name and photo was published after he fatally shot people and the two shooters in Kansas City were protected.

Now They Want Your Pets

credit: claytonmorris

Are globalists coming for your pets in the name of climate change? That is what Country Squire Magazine thinks.

The argument is that domestic pets are bad for the environment because humans like to dote on them. That fluffy bed for your pup is bad for the earth. And so is the packaged food they live on. A 2019 study calculates the EPP, ecological paw print, of domestic animals and, yep, they’re causing global warming it says! The Independent goes so far as to say this about the study: “My tough message is that the UK cannot achieve its carbon goals or protect our remaining scraps of biodiversity if we maintain this unsustainable huge number of pets. So, please, gently tell your friends not to get a new pet or to replace their current pet when it passes to pet-heaven, unless they absolutely (absolutely!) have to.”

Some towns are trying to ban dogs in parks or introduce taxes on domestic pets in the name of the climate. Barking mad, right!?
