Ukraine is digging in, literally. The Wall Street Journal reports that in the absence of taking back any territory in Eastern Ukraine, the military is digging trenches and building fortresses.
“President Volodymyr Zelensky called for accelerated construction and urged private companies and donors to get involved,” the Journal reports. They are calling for $800 million for this purpose.
Bloomberg is reporting that President Biden is considering sending money from the U.S. Army to Ukraine in the absence of more congressionally-approved funds.
The Russian Defense Ministry says that it took four months for them to gain 5.6 miles of territory and now they have gained three more miles in just the last week alone. Now is as good a time as ever to revisit that peace treaty and stop the fighting!
More sources, including the Wall Street Journal, have now confirmed that the peace treaty did exist in the spring of 2022 and that it was tanked by the West because they favored continuing the war.
After months of silence on the issue, former President Trump said that Israel has to “finish the problem” with its attack on Gaza, confirming that he is “firmly in Israel’s camp.”
This is not surprising as the former President made many pro-Israel moves during his administration such as moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, solidifying the U.S. stance that Jerusalem belongs to Israel and not the Palestinian people. He also recognized the Golan Heights as Israeli territory. Still, it shakes up a misbelief that Trump would be an anti-war president. He condemned only the October 7 attacks on Tel Aviv and not the death of approximately 31,000 Palestinians, 70% of which are women and children.
CNN reported this week that at least 20 people have died of starvation since the war broke out, the youngest a one-day-old baby.

Bank of America has issued a shocking warning about the U.S. dollar and the growing U.S. debt.
"The U.S. national debt is rising by $1 trillion every 100 days," Michael Hartnett, Bank of America's chief strategist, wrote in a note to clients seen by CNBC. He added that it's "little wonder ‘debt debasement’ trades are closing in on all-time highs, i.e. gold [and] bitcoin."
Woah. And who is going to reign that in? No one for the foreseeable future. Politics is busy finger-pointing one another and arguing about spending money on wars. That is why Moody's lowered the ratings on the U.S. government from stable to negative.
Proposition F requires recipients of welfare money to test for drugs and enter treatment programs in order to continue to receive aid. Proposition E expands police surveillance tools and allows police to use force without requiring written reports for every altercation. Both were supported by San Francisco Mayor London Breed.
These seem like moderate bills but not when you consider how far San Francisco has gone to enable crime and drug use. One resident said this to the Wall Street Journal: “The pendulum is swinging. It’s coming hard-core back to the center.”
