Lead: Bibi Begs Congress For More Money and Weapons
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a passionate pitch for war to the U.S. Congress on Wednesday and proposed a NATO-like military block called the "Abraham Alliance."
"America forged a security alliance in Europe to counter the growing Soviet threat. Likewise, America and Israel today can forge a security alliance in the Middle East to counter the growing Iranian threat. I think we should call it the Abraham Alliance."
Netanyahu received an enthusiastic reception from the members of Congress that attended, although many were absent. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called it "by far the worst presentation of any foreign dignitary invited." She said that the families of Israeli hostages "are asking for a ceasefire deal that will bring the hostages home – and we hope the Prime Minister would spend his time achieving that goal."
Huh. She's right and that's something we don't say often say about Pelosi. Netanyahu is sabotaging peace for his warlust. An Israeli delegation for peace negotiations was delayed without explanation.
Netanyahu mocked antiwar protestors in his speech. Many of them were peaceful but the ones that weren't proved his point. Capital Police used pepper spray to quell the more hateful demonstrations but not before American flags were torn down and burned.
The media is trying to tell us that Vice President Harris was never in charge of the southern border. That is convenient because if she was, the millions of people who have illegally entered the U.S. would be a damning item on her resume as a leader.
Only, she was. In March of 2021, President Biden said that the VP was tasked with this job "because she’s the most qualified person to do it — to lead our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle and the countries that help — are going to need help in stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border." The truth is that Vice President Harris has done nothing to curb illegal immigration and has ignored whistleblowers who have said that child trafficking is happening and hundreds of thousands of children have gone missing. She visited the Southern Border once and only after she was pushed about it by NBC News. When she was asked why she had not gone there she shrugged and said: “And I haven’t been to Europe. And I mean, I don’t understand the point that you’re making."

Ukraine has sent its 3rd Assault Brigade to tour nine cities in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania. This brigade includes fighters from the Azov Regiment. They are neo-Nazis who have been attacking civilians in the now Russian-controlled Donbas since 2014.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov called this “a disgusting phenomenon” and “an ugly display of the Kiev regime.” He said that it proves that Ukraine has no problem being “one of the cradles of the revival of Nazism on the European continent.”
Meanwhile, Russia claims to have struck a "temporary deployment site for foreign mercenaries in the industrial zone of the city of Kharkov, killing up to 100 military personnel, including 40 foreign instructors." Foreign instructors from where exactly? Will Western governments tell us if our own fighters are being killed fighting for Ukraine?
Russia again said that it would participate in peace negotiations with Ukraine but needs to understand whether or not Ukraine is serious. Ukrainian President Zelensky banned himself from negotiating with Russia so the Kremlin wants to know if those self-imposed restrictions remain in place.
Bob Dylan is trending because of the new trailer for a movie about his life. In the trailer, Timothée Chalamet actually sings Dylan's songs rather than lip syncing and people are divided on that choice.
Tesla is trending because the company reported a whopping 40% reduction in earnings in Q2. The stock dropped 12% on this news.
Skibidi Toilet is trending because director Michael Bay is reportedly making a movie about the viral YouTube channel.
Mr. Beast says that he has parted ways with the transgender member of his team, Kris Tyson, who now calls himself Ava. Tyson stands accused of sexually messaging a minor since the boy was 13 years old.
Mr. Beast says that he's hired an investigator but that he himself has "seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions."
That's not how Tyson put it. Tyson says that he and Mr. Beast "mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health."
Tyson is a father to a young child with a wife that he divorced in order to transition to a transgender "woman."
Mr. Beast took a lot of heat for keeping Tyson in the spotlight during his transition. His audience of 305 million YouTube followers and 30 million X followers consists of mostly adolescents. His claims that he knew nothing of Tyson's past behavior have been challenged by his own employees.
