Lead: Christians Attacked in Gaza

More proof that there is no such thing as “targeted attacks.” Israel admits that it shot at least three of its own hostages in an attack in Gaza and the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem says that two Christian women were killed by Israeli forces and seven others were wounded inside the Holy Family Parish in Gaza.

The Christian society says that an Israeli Defense Force rocket targeted the Christian convent where at least 54 disabled people live and which has been signaled as a place of worship since the beginning of the war. The bombing was followed by sniper fire, which killed the two women.

A father of one of the slain hostages says that the IDF murdered his son and demands that he be recognized as a fallen soldier but the army denied that request.

The Israeli publication Haaretz says that the IDJ has “dropped the restraint in Gaza.” It further presents the worry that this unrestrained killing will turn Israel into Russia 2.0.

The small silver lining is the possibility of another ceasefire brokered by Qatar and Egypt. Hamas says that it will hand over a list of hostages to release under the condition of a ceasefire. Negotiations could take place in Europe sometime this week.

Ukraine "Snatching" Men Off The Streets To Fight

credit: nytimes

The New York Times has woken up to the fact that Ukrainian men are being dragged into battle using corrupt conscription tactics.

The Times published this piece calling the Ukrainian army “people snatchers.” It says that men are being dragged off the streets with brute force and taken from their homes in order to force them into the fight against Russia.

“Recruiters have confiscated passports, taken people from their jobs and, in at least one case, tried to send a mentally disabled person to military training, according to lawyers, activists and Ukrainian men who have been subject to coercive tactics,” the Times reports.

Yes. This has been happening for months and is increasingly necessary because Ukraine has thrown its entire population of young men into the meat grinder. Even Time Magazine admits that the average age of a Ukrainian soldier is 43 years old. The younger generation have died to take back land from Russia. The people living in those regions asked to join Russia to stop Ukraine from terrorizing those lands, which it has been doing since 2014. It's a horror. The New York Times called it a “suicide mission.”

And what happens to these forced conscripts? They’re no good on the battlefield because they are not trained for that. Ukraine’s military intelligence chief Kirill Budanov admitted as much in a recent panel discussion. He said that the people who are forced to enlist have an “efficiency” that is “almost zero.” But still, forced conscription will continue. "It is impossible to escape mobilization,” he stated. “There are currently 1.1 million people in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. No recruiting can cover such volumes.”

Report: U.K. Politicians Made Millions Off of Covid

michelle mone made millions off of covid credit: bbc

A politician in the UK admits that she and her family made a lot of money on Covid PPE and lied about it. Shocking, right?

Michele Mone is a former Tory peer. Her husband’s company, PPE Medpro, made millions selling Covid protective gear to the government during the pandemic even thought her lawyers said that she was not involved in those deals. The government says that she put her husband’s company in the “VIP lane” to secure these contracts while telling the press that she was not doing that very thing.

“I did make an error in saying to the press that I wasn’t involved,” Mone told the BBC.

The UK government is suing the company for "breach of contract and unjust enrichment.” They claim that millions of hospital gowns were never supplied.

But who was in charge of this “VIP lane” that authorized these contracts? The public was warned that the government was allowing price gouging from private companies during the pandemic so surely someone had to have known at the time.

What's Trending?

Tom Lockyer is trending because he collapsed during a football (soccer) game this weekend for “unknown reasons.”

Cher is trending for telling Kelly Clarkson that she wouldn’t be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame if they paid her a million dollars after so many years of being snubbed for entry.

Canberra Zoo is trending because a woman was found dead from stabbing in a kitchen area.

News By The Numbers

12%. That is how much homelessness is up from last year in the United States, according to a report from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. California has the highest number of homeless people in America.

51%. That is how many U.S. adults between the ages of 18-24 think the state of Israel should be “ended” and given to Hamas, according to a recent poll. Yikes. The survey also asked if Palestinians should be "absorbed" into Arab states. Both questions are fundamentally leading and flawed.

Senate Rocked By Sex Scandal

credit: getty

Is it a crime to have sex in the U.S. Capitol? That is what police are investigating after a sex tape leaked of two men engaged in sex acts inside a hearing room in Senate Offices.

This is inappropriate and disrespectful to our government, yes, but it should come as no surprise. President Biden was accused of violating his staffer Tara Reade just outside his offices. She reported the attack and lost her job for it. Former congressman Madison Cawthorn said last year that he’d been invited to many “orgies” involving Washington politicians. He posted “I told you” on X after this news broke.

So is this a one-off or is there an actual pervasive perversion amongst politicians? I’m leaning towards the latter.

One of the men involved in the tape has been identified as a staffer for Maryland Senator Ben Cardin, a Democrat. He is 24 year-old Aidan Maese-Czeropski who reportedly posted the photos and videos himself. Senator Cardin says that this staffer has been dismissed and “will have no further comment on this personnel matter.”

Maese-Czerposki posted on LinkedIn that he’s being "attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda.” Well, is it about the gay sex part or is it just about the sex part? It is illegal to have any kind of sex in public.
