Last weekend, President Biden told MSNBC that if Israel attacks Rafah, where Palestinian civilians have gathered to escape the bombs of the Israeli army, that would be a red line. On Tuesday, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that he didn’t mean it.
“We’re not going to engage in hypotheticals about what comes down the line and the reports that purport to describe the president’s thinking are uninformed speculation,” Sullivan said.
They’re not speculating. It is what the President said. When asked about an invasion of Rafah the President responded: “It is a red line but I’m never going to leave Israel.”
That’s not how red lines work, sir.
Sullivan did say that the U.S. “the US won’t support an IDF operation in Rafah unless Israel puts forward a plan to evacuate the over one million Palestinians currently sheltering in the city.” The IDF probably won’t do that because they clearly don’t have to. The U.S. will keep sending weapons anyway.
The National Health System in the U.K. will no longer prescribe puberty blockers to children for gender dysphoria.
These are drugs were developed to treat child cancer patients whose chemotherapy brought on precocious or very early puberty. They were never intended to pause development into adulthood but they have been used for that at alarming rates in recent years.
The NHS made this decision in the absence of clinical trials. There is no research that shows that they are safe for children, nor is there research that shows that it alleviates symptoms of gender dysphoria. There is however decades of research that shows gender dysphoria resolves itself after puberty, which means that the puberty blockers are blocking the one thing that would help these young people.
Recently published documents from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) showed that doctors know that pre-pubescent children do not understand what they are doing when they sign up for puberty blockers.
“It’s always a good theory that you talk about fertility preservation with a 14-year-old, but I know I’m talking to a blank wall,” one doctor said in a discussion about getting informed consent for these experimental drugs.

Ukraine Admits They Cannot “Win”

Ukraine cannot “win” and they know it. French magazine Marianne was given access to “”several confidential defense reports” from the French army on the war and it is damning.
French soldiers told the magazine this: “We must not deceive ourselves, in the face of the Russians, we are an army of butts!”
Clearly the French do not want to be sent to join the Ukrainians in their defeat, even though President Emmanuel Macron said that he does not rule out the possibility.
The report shows that the Ukrainian army is ill trained, ill equipped and ill staffed. One translation of this article says this: “Zelensky would need 35,000 men per month, he’s not recruiting half of that, while Putin draws from a pool of 30,000 volunteers per month,” observes a military officer returned from Kiev. In terms of equipment, the balance is just as unbalanced: the failed offensive of 2023 “tactically destroyed” half of Kiev’s 12 combat brigades.”
So peace talks then? Peace talks so no one else has to die.

Last weekend was Mother’s Day in the U.K. The Instagram account for the Princess of Wales published this heavily-altered image. It was comical how poorly it was done so the royal X account posted on behalf of the Princess taking the blame for amateur Photoshopping. This only fed into even more theories as to why. Here are a few:
– The Princess is dead, either from illness or a mysterious Diana-like death, and this is an old photo;
– The Princess is pregnant with an illegitimate child of family friend Thomas Kingston who allegedly committed suicide by giving himself a terrible head injury?
The question is WHY? Given that Palace motto to “never explain,” why are they explaining with inconsistent explanations? Why won’t they just send her out to the park with a dog? Why would such a comically bad image be published given how carefully curated their image is? Why hasn’t she shown her face publicly? Why does every attempt at an explanation only make this worse?
