President Biden is standing down to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Earlier this week, the President agreed with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer that Netanyahu is an âobstacle to peace,â but now the President has assured the Israeli leader that he didnât mean it. Hmm, okay.
The U.S. has repeatedly asked Israel not to invade the southern Gaza city of Rafah but Israel is pretending not to hear that too. A delegation of officials will travel to Washington this week to discuss the planned invasion.
A study out of China got a lot of attention this week because it suggests that people who practice intermittent fasting are more likely to die of heart disease. Only, the study admits that it did not account for the health of participants. What?
The study claims that “people who limited their eating across less than 8 hours per day, a time-restricted eating plan, were more likely to die from cardiovascular disease compared to people who ate across 12-16 hours per day.” Yet it also says that âfactors that may also play a role in health, outside of the daily duration of eating and cause of death, were not included in the analysis.â
This is a clear problem. One would think that people who participate in fasting are likely to be doing so to control weight and other pre-existing morbidities. Other likely causes of death are kinda of important here and yet the press ran with this headline.
Science journalist Matthew Harper says that this study is âweakâ and that you âshouldnât be wasting brain glucose thinking about it.â

The Supreme Court reversed course and will now allow Texas to arrest migrants who are crossing from Mexico. Earlier this week the court ruled that Texas could not implement this law but now the court says that it can.
This is not the end of this case. It is simply the court allowing the law to go into effect while the case is litigated. The case revolves around Texas Senate Bill 4, which makes it a crime to cross the border outside of ports of entry, punishable by up to 6 months in prison for first-time offenders and 20 years in prison for repeat offenders. The Biden administration is suing Texas to stop it.
More than 9 million illegal immigrants have crossed into the U.S. from Mexico since October of 2021, according to Customs and Border Protection data.

The word âhomosexualâ is âconsidered derogatory and offensive,â according to the woke army. What is wrong with the word homosexual? It requires biological sex and biological sex is offensive to trans activists.
This comes from the latest GLAAD Media Reference Guide. It is an attempt to remove biological sex from the paradigm of sexuality altogether. And yet gayness requires biological sex to exist! Thus more proof that the trans movement is anti-gay at its core but has hijacked the gay rights movement in a Trojan horse.
And while “homosexual” is offensive, GLAAD says that âcisgender” is totally fine, the word used to describe non transgender people. Most non transgender people (myself included) do not like or identify with word but GLAAD thinks it’s fine to force it on us.
The guide also advises the media to avoid any of the following terms because they “oversimplify a complex subject and are often used by anti-transgender activists to inaccurately imply that a trans person is not who they say they areâ: âborn a man,â âborn a woman,â âbiologically male,â âbiologically female,â âbiological boy,â âbiological girl,â âgenetically male,â âgenetically female.â
