The Lead: Israel Activates More Explosive Electronics

credit: x

On Wednesday, explosives were reported in Lebanon, this time reportedly from exploded walkie-talkies. This comes just a day after thousands of pagers carried by Hezbollah members and civilians exploded on their bodies.

At least 12 people died from the pager explosions, including two children, and more than 3,000 people were injured. It was horrific. No matter what you think of Hezbollah, people were maimed in front of innocent civilians.

This morning a new round of explosions happened around the same time of day and at least three people have been reported dead.

Most reports place blame for the pager attack on Israel’s Mossad. The New York Times reports that “explosive material, as little as one to two ounces, was implanted next to the battery in each pager,” along with a switch that could be activated remotely.

The United Nations has condemned these reckless attacks. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said this: “I think it’s very important that there is an effective control of civilian objects, not to weaponise civilian objects — that should be a rule that… governments should, be able to implement.”

Isn’t there?

U.S. Finally Leaving Iraq?

credit: getty

The U.S. will soon announce a final date of its presence in Iraq, according to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.

The Prime Minister said that it no longer needs the U.S.’s help to fight ISIS. The U.S. helped fund ISIS in Syria and then fought them in Iraq so I wouldn’t want their help either.

The exact withdrawal date is said to be announced soon. This comes after the American military confirmed that it has completely withdrawn from Niger.

Does this mean that the U.S. is reducing its military presence abroad? Even though Vice President Harris (falsely) said that there are no active military members in combat zones, President Biden does want to keep troops in Iraq. The State Department has proposed a “bilateral security partnership” and said that “at no point” was the idea of a withdrawal being discussed.

California Clamps Down on Free Speech

credit: x

California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill into law that makes it illegal to “knowingly distribute an ad or other election communications that contain materially deceptive content–including deepfakes.”

California Assembly Bill 2655 is called the “Defending Democracy from Deepfake Deception Act of 2024.” It “prohibits any person, committee, or other entity from distributing, with actual malice, materially deceptive audio or visual media of a candidate for elective office with the intent to injure the candidate’s reputation or to deceive a voter into voting for or against the candidate, within 60 days of the election.”

If a politician finds this misleading content about themselves, they can seek “injunctive relief” against the platform that hosts it. Meaning, the candidate can sue X or YouTube or wherever they find that content.

So when Kamala Harris posts something like this about “Trump Abortion Bans,” is that okay? Donald Trump never instated any abortion bans and he supports abortion in the case of rape and incest. He said so himself. This post is a lie. Can Trump sue her?

Or when the Harris campaign manipulated news headlines for campaign ads? That was “deceptive visual media.” Will she be punished for that?

The governor doesn’t seem focused on that. He is focused on Elon Musk’s parodies of Kamala Harris.

What’s Trending?

Diddy Indictment Opens More Questions

credit: economic times

Kristina Khorram was Sean “Diddy” Combs’s main assistant. She was not named in the federal indictment against the rapper but reports say that she is his “Ghislaine Maxwell.”

Maxwell was the personal assistant to Jeffrey Epstein. She was convicted of trafficking women to…unnamed people.

Khorram, according to the New York Post, was Diddy’s gatekeeper. If anyone would have had knowledge of the “Freak Off” parties, it would have been her. Indeed, the indictment shows that these days-long rape sessions required extensive before-and-after planning, including hotel rooms stocked with baby oil and IV drips to revive both victims and abusers after. And drugs. Copious amounts of drugs to allow human bodies to do this to one another. It is the stuff of demonic nightmares.

Prosecutor Damian Willians said that the indictment of Diddy was just the beginning and more about this is to come. Will we see Khorram deposed or charged? Will we see the client list?

Combs’ lawyer told CNN that Combs was in New York because he knew the indictment was coming and had intended to surrender. He maintains that his client is innocent and that he will not take a plea deal. He said, “I believe he’s going to go to trial and that he’s going to win.”

Combs is currently being held in a Brooklyn jail where he better hope he doesn’t get pulled into any “Freak Off” parties because he won’t get any baby oil or IVs.
