The Department of Justice says that Russia is again interfering with the U.S. election through media outlets such as RT.
Russian election interference. Stop me if you think you’ve heard this one before.
The U.S. indicted two employees of RT and sanctioned the editors because they say that they used Russian state funds to disseminate information that was favorable to Russia.
Why would information favorable to Russia interfere with the U.S. election? Russia is not on the ballot. This requires some kind of stretch whereby you believe that a certain candidate would be more favorable to Russia and therefore Russia is manipulating you to thinking highly of the country and therefore asking you to vote a certain way. That narrative broke apart in 2016 by the Clinton campaign and the Steele dossier so it is almost a cliche to use it again but they are using it again.
So which candidate would Russian President Putin favor if he were indeed to manipulate U.S. voters? When asked about this, he said Kamala Harris.

Democrats keep using employment numbers to “prove” that the economy has been good on their watch but those numbers don’t bear out.
The Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics published a report on Wednesday showing that U.S. job openings fell to their lowest level in July since 2021. The report shows 237,000 fewer jobs in July and revised the number lower for June too.
Layoffs are also up to 1.76 million. The jobs that have been added are mostly gig and government jobs, which is not a sign of a robust economy.
We still have a few more days to wait but all signs point to the Federal Reserve lowering interest rates this month. It will be a bandaid on a stitch wound because it may stimulate borrowing but it will worsen inflation. Hold on.

Climate Alarmism

A new study suggests that humans are not responsible for increased CO2 emissions. In fact, climate scientists have not been able to prove that, despite what Barack Obama said on X in 2013.
Obama posted a paper by Cook et.al that “concludes” that 97.1% of the analyzed research papers support human- caused climate change, not 97% of scientists. A more honest look shows that climate scientists agree on very little.
This new study used multiple regression to analyze CO2 emissions since 1960 and found that “human emissions were not a determining factor.” Instead, they say, that atmospheric CO2 “has fluctuated as natural phenomenon, regardless of human activity.”
And yet, nations are spending billions of dollars to re-order society in ways that will have important opportunity costs for ways that we could in fact improve society. This is yet more proof that, as Australian politician Craig Kelly put it, “the climate change movement is a brainwashed cult, held together by a strongly held quasi religious belief, not to mention the grifters making millions from perpetuating the alarmism.”

Family Affair

Is it fair game for politicians’ family members to speak out against them or is it a game of dirty laundry? I am leaning towards inappropriate family sharing, a violation of casa nostra, if you know what I mean.
This image has gone viral of eight members of Governor Tim Walz’s family expressing their support for Donald Trump. Walz’s older brother Jeff Walz says that his brother is “not the type of character” you would want in the White House and that he has stories to tell.
In a similar vein, Malik Obama is trending because former President Obama’s half brother says that he will vote for Donald Trump. He backed Trump in the previous two elections as well.
When Robert F. Kennedy Jr. endorsed President Trump, the Kennedy family released this statement against him saying that his endorsement was “is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear.”
President Trump’s niece Mary L. Trump was one of the first to do this and was beloved by the press for her memoir, “Too Much and Never Enough,” which was a New York Times best seller. She has a new book out next week called “Who Could Ever Love You.”
