Lead: Sabotage at the UN? Trump’s Barn-Burner Speech Survives Escalator and Tech Fails

Did someone sabotage President Trump’s visit to the United Nations because he was planning a barn-burner of a speech? It sure looked that way.

The Times of London reported that UN organizers had been joking about pulling stunts to highlight their funding shortfall. One idea circulating: shut off the escalators and elevators and tell Trump there wasn’t money to keep them running.

Then it happened. The escalator stopped the moment the President and First Lady stepped on. The microphones weren’t synced. At one point, Fox News was broadcasting a Portuguese translation of the speech. And when the teleprompter failed, Trump had to pull out a paper copy and read it old-school.

To his credit, he rolled with it. But some see it as an inexcusable Secret Service lapse. One journalist warned:

“The stalled escalator with President Trump and First Lady Melania stuck on it was a classic set-up for an assassination hit, yet the Secret Service barely noticed and didn’t pull POTUS and FLOTUS off the suddenly stopped stairs. Secret Service sources are very concerned about what they witnessed from fellow agents today when President Trump was stalled and vulnerable.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that if these failures were intentional, someone should be fired. An AP reporter said that these errors were the fault of the White House.

And yet—glitches and all—the President delivered. His speech blasted the UN for failing to stop a single war, called its climate agenda nonsense, warned that “green” policies waste money, and declared that mass migration endangers nations.

“Your countries are going to hell,” he told them.

The attendees seemed to understand that, no matter what language was in their translators.

YouTube CONFESSES: Government Ordered the Censorship

YouTube has now issued a mea culpa for censoring speech during the pandemic at the behest of the Biden administration. The same people who lost their minds over Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension don’t seem to give two farts about this real First Amendment violation. The hypocrisy is astounding.

The House Judiciary Committee subpoenaed Alphabet, the parent company of Google and YouTube, to explain how they censored creators during COVID. The company’s answer? Basically: yeah, we did it… but we didn’t want to.

“Senior Biden Administration officials, including White House officials, conducted repeated and sustained outreach to Alphabet and pressed the Company regarding certain user-generated content related to the Covid-19 pandemic that did not violate its policies. While the Company continued to develop and enforce its policies independently, Biden Administration officials continued to press the Company to remove non-violated user-generated content.”

In other words, the government leaned on Big Tech to erase legal speech. And YouTube complied.

THIS is government censorship in violation of the First Amendment. Jimmy Kimmel getting punished for making stuff up is not.

YouTube punished thousands of creators, including Senator Rand Paul, John Campbell, Kim Iversen, The Jimmy Dore Show — and us here at Redacted. What were the “violations”? Reporting true facts like the reality that masks don’t prevent infection and that vaccines don’t stop COVID transmission.

Redacted itself was slapped with two-week suspensions simply for reading Pfizer’s own clinical trial data out loud. YouTube locked us out of our channel, cut us off from viewers in the comments, and withheld revenue from ads they still ran on our videos. We never got an apology or repayment. And now they admit it.

YouTube says they won’t do this again and will reinstate some banned channels.

Do we forgive them? A bigger person would so…I’ll work on it.

Chips, Reimagined: No Seed Oils, Just Real Ingredients

Masa Chips

Until the 1990s, fries and chips were cooked in tallow. Then big food cut corners with cheap seed oils—and today they’re about 20% of the average American’s calories, linked in studies to inflammation and poor metabolic health.

MASA decided to fix it. These are tortilla chips made with just three ingredients—organic nixtamalized corn, sea salt, and 100% grass-fed beef tallow. No seed oils. No junk.

They’re not just “less bad”—they’re better: crunchier, tastier, sturdier (won’t snap in your guac). You feel satisfied and light—no crash, no bloat, no greasy hangover. The tallow actually makes them more satiating, so the binge-y spiral doesn’t happen.

Our current favorite flavor: MASA Original. Ready to give MASA a try? Go to MASAChips.com/REDACTEDNEWS and use code REDACTEDNEWS for 25% off your first order.

Prefer in-store? Starting in October, MASA will be at Sprouts nationwide. Grab a bag before they’re gone.

Trump’s New Ukraine Narrative: Victory Without U.S. Help

President Trump has suddenly changed his tune on the war in Ukraine and the new narrative makes no sense.

After meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky at the United Nations, Trump said that Ukraine can not only win the war but reclaim all of its lost territory. That is fantasy. The reality is that Russia controls more land than ever in eastern Ukraine and it is not about to hand it back.

But maybe Trump is playing games. He insists Ukraine can win with the financial support of Europe and NATO, pointedly not mentioning the United States. He knows Europe cannot afford to bankroll this war. They have tanked their economy trying. Is this his way of patting them on the head and sending them off with a hopeless assignment?

Zelensky thanked Trump on X, as he does with every photo op, and even echoed Trump’s speech when he asserted that the UN’s influence is fading and its decisions on major issues often meaningless. There is no risk in saying that if you are trying to impress Trump and Trump said it first.

He then rattled off the list of countries he hopes will keep cutting checks and sending weapons: the United Kingdom, France, and the usual coalition of the willing. In other words, the high school seniors he hopes will stand by his junior varsity administration.

What’s Trending?

‘Jimmy Kimmel show time’ is trending. Translation: people defending his show don’t actually watch it.

D4vd is trending because the singer cancelled his European tour. This may or may not be related to the fact that the remains of a teenage girl were allegedly found earlier this month in the trunk of his impounded Tesla.

This video is trending of a woman who got stuck in a water slide on a cruise ship and now I will go pray for forgiveness for laughing so hard.

Tylenol Owner Says “No Link to Autism” — Wall Street Buys It

When the Trump administration called for more research about Tylenol’s link to autism, the company’s stock tanked.

When Tylenol owner Kenvue issued a statement saying, “We don’t think it does,” the stock started to rebound. The stock market clearly trusts big pharma more than the existing data.

“We believe independent, sound science clearly shows that taking acetaminophen does not cause autism. We strongly disagree with any suggestion otherwise and are deeply concerned about the health risks and confusion this poses for expecting mothers and parents,” the statement says.

The word “believe” doesn’t belong here. Science is not about belief. It is about evidence and there is copious evidence of an association between prenatal acetaminophen use and autism. Association is not necessarily causation — but it is intellectually dishonest to show no curiosity about that correlation.

In fact, in 2023 a class action lawsuit against the maker of Tylenol alleged that use during pregnancy led to birth disorders and autism. A federal judge blocked the evidence from being presented, effectively ending the case. This association is not new and the science is not in.

Liberal pregnant women who hate President Trump figured they would stick it to him by posting TikToks of themselves taking Tylenol. This is inconceivable. A mother would never weaponize their pregnancy to make a political point. A good mother would never take unnecessary risks. How can a pregnant woman be more motivated by hate of politics than love of her baby?
