Happy Thursday

Harvard has hired a professor named Kareem Khubchandani whose drag persona is part of his academic teaching to teach a class on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” His drag alter-ego is named LaWhore Vagistan. I mean, you can’t put a price on that, right?

Well, technically you can: Harvard’s undergraduate tuition is $60,000 a year.

In Case You Missed It

🏛️ Senate Democrats blocked a second stopgap funding bill—voting 55–45—prolonging the government shutdown even as federal agencies prepare to furlough up to 750,000 workers per day.

🏈 The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly launched a petition for the NFL to reconsider Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

💥 Two Delta regional jets collided at low speed while taxiing at LaGuardia Airport in New York, causing one plane’s wing to detach and injuring one person. Could it have anything to do with air traffic controllers not being paid for their work today!?

🏠 Maxwell House is temporarily rebranding itself as “Maxwell Apartment” for the first time in its 133-year history to reflect modern housing trends while keeping the same coffee formula. I don’t quite get it.

💣 Oktoberfest in Munich was shut down temporarily after authorities responded to a bomb threat tied to a house explosion and a warning letter from a suspect, prompting a security sweep before the festival was eventually cleared to resume.

Lead: Israel Blocks Gaza Flotilla, Labels Civilians Terrorists

Israel says that anyone who is still in Gaza City will be targeted as terrorists as the IDF completes its final mission to take it over.

“Those who remain in Gaza will be considered terrorists and terror supporters,” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday. Even these people.

Meanwhile, Israel has seized control of the flotilla vessels that were aimed to bring aid to Gaza. The Israel Foreign Ministry claims that several vessels “have been safely stopped and their passengers are being transferred to an Israeli port. Greta and her friends are safe and healthy.”

Why not allow the boats to land with their cargo? Israel claims it needed to take control of the shipments, but flotilla organizers refused—understandable, given Israel’s track record of blocking aid from reaching Palestinians. As a result, 200 people from 37 countries are now detained.

The interception sparked global protests plus diplomatic consequences for Israel. Colombia expelled all Israeli diplomats from the country “in solidarity with Palestine.”

Many say that this is a violation of international law but Israel has already shown disregard for international law many times since October 7. Why abide by that now?

Poll Shows Israel Losing U.S. Backing

The New York Times/Siena National Poll of Registered Voters shows overwhelming disapproval among people under 30:

  • 61% sympathize more with Palestinians than with Israel.
  • 78% believe Israel is not taking enough precautions to avoid civilian casualties.
  • 68% oppose providing additional economic and military support to Israel.
  • 66% say Israel is intentionally killing civilians.

Can an influencer campaign change those numbers? Judging by the comments on this Israeli influencer’s video, probably not. Despite 325,000 views, it pulled only 261 likes and attracted overwhelmingly hostile comments, some unnecessarily mean ones that attack her appearance. That doesn’t look like a winning strategy.

Meanwhile, Responsible Statecraft unearthed more details about Oracle executives involved in the TikTok takeover. One leaked email from CEO Safra Catz described the mission as embedding “the love and respect for Israel in the American culture.”

“As Executive Vice Chair of the Oracle Board of Directors, Safra will be nowhere near the algorithm of TikTok,” sources familiar with the matter told Responsible Statecraft.

Do we believe that?

Water, Done Right—Straight From Your Countertop

CovePure

We don’t talk about water enough. Clean drinking water is one of the best investments you can make for your family’s health. That’s why we switched to CovePure—the best purifier we’ve tried.

Why it matters: municipal plants aren’t built to filter out many modern contaminants. Leftover pharmaceuticals, PFAS, fluoride, and agricultural runoff can slip through. CovePure is lab-certified to remove up to 99.9% of impurities, including those categories—so what you pour is what you intend to drink.

Why we like it

  • Tastes like water should: clean, crisp, no aftertaste—you’ll want to drink more

  • Countertop simple: no plumber, no drilling—just fill and plug in

  • Your perfect temp: hot, cold, or warm at the touch of a button

You wouldn’t take a stranger’s prescription—so don’t accept their leftovers in your glass.

Escalation: U.S. Clears Ukraine to Strike Inside Russia

The Wall Street Journal reports that the U.S. is preparing to escalate the war with Russia by sharing intelligence that would allow Ukraine to strike targets inside Russia itself. Anonymous officials say President Trump has approved the plan and is urging NATO allies to follow suit.

Moscow is already warning of consequences. Russian envoy Vasily Nebenzya told the UN that Russia “will find a response” if the U.S. sends Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kyiv.

This is a dangerous departure from Washington’s stated “defensive aid” strategy and carries grave risk: Russia has repeatedly vowed to treat those arming Ukraine as direct combatants. They have so far been patient as Ukraine uses U.S. weapons to attack them but for how long?

Why take this step if it won’t change the outcome of the war? It only raises the odds of a U.S.–Russia clash and no one needs that!

What’s Trending?

Emily Blunt is trending for wearing this for her latest movie premiere. She accessorized her dress with 77 carats of diamonds from DeBeers worth $280,000.

James Taylor is trending because he announced that he will play the Grand Ole Opry for the first time in his career. Fun fact: Clayton likes listening to James Taylor to welcome in the autumn weather.

Joshua Allen is trending because the dancer who won the fourth season of “So You Think You Can Dance” died on Tuesday after he was struck by a train in Texas.

News By The Numbers

9. That is how many inches of snow are set to hit Alaska on Thursday. So much for their autumn!

37. That is how many people were arrested in a raid on a Chicago apartment building recently by The Department of Homeland Security, together with agents from Border Patrol, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

$29.99. That is the new monthly price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, up from $19.99. There are reportedly over 45 new games on the platform.

Hollywood’s Fake Blacklist Victims

Hollywood elites are pretending that they are being blacklisted for free speech and we are expected to champion their bravery! Actress Jane Fonda has decided to relaunch the Committee for the First Amendment with 550 other Hollywood elites.

Their statement reads:

“This Committee was initially created during the McCarthy Era, a dark time when the federal government repressed and persecuted American citizens for their political beliefs. They targeted elected officials, government employees, academics, and artists. They were blacklisted, harassed, silenced, and even imprisoned.”

Read a book you idiots!

Here are some things that they miss when they call upon McCarthyism as their martyrdom:

  • Joseph McCarthy was only interested in finding Soviet spies in the State Department and he was right that there were many! We know this because of the Venona Files and volumes of declassified FBI files.
  • Neither McCarthy nor the House Un-American Activities Committee had anything to do with persecuting artists. The Hollywood blacklist was the handiwork of Hollywood executives, not Congress.
  • And contrary to legend, McCarthy didn’t relish “naming names.” He is on record many times refusing to do so. It was Democrat Millard Tydings and his committee thugs who pressured him.

Do any of the celebrities signing this petition know that? Doubtful. They’re just seizing on Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension to cosplay as the persecuted.

Where was this outrage when the Biden administration coordinated with Big Tech to silence dissent during the pandemic? Where were these “free speech warriors” when actors were fired for expressing personal views?

Their silence then, and their sudden heroism now, shows exactly what they are: arrogant clowns.

Watch my exposé to see how you’ve been lied to about Joseph McCarthy.
