Lead: Biden Preparing to Step Down?

President Biden said that he would only drop out of the race if his doctors say that he has a medical condition. And then on Wednesday, he announced that he has tested positive for Covid. Hm. That's funny timing. Now the New York Post is reporting that the President is "receptive" to the idea of stepping aside.

In an interview with BET, the President said: “If I had some medical condition that emerged, if doctors came and said ‘you’ve got this problem, that problem’, then he would withdraw from the race. Barring that, he intends to run.

Democrats reportedly had a meeting with the President to again persuade him to quit the race and since the meeting was unfruitful, they leaked detalis about it to the press. No wonder no one trusts Congress. Even if it is logical, it's disloyal.

new report from Politico shows that President Trump can beat President Biden "comfortably." The report concludes that alternative Democratic candidates could "run ahead of President Biden by an average of three points across the battleground states." This doesn't mean that those candidates could beat President Trump. It means that they could lose to him by less than President Biden would lose.

The four candidates that polled the strongest against President Trump are NOT Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, AOC or Elizabeth Warren. They are Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona, Governor Wes Moore from Maryland, Governor Josh Shapiro from Pennsylvania and Governor Gretchen Whitmer from Michigan.

Massive Secret Service Failure

Senator Marsha Blackburn says that "the Secret Service knew about a threat prior to President Trump walking on stage." She learned this from "a briefing with the Secret Service and FBI."

The incompetence continues to astound.

The Secret Service has blamed the failure on local police in Butler, Pennsylvania. They said that they assigned the building where the shooter was to the local police but a local policeman told Fox News that was not true. They say that they were only responsible for "strictly traffic detail." Which would mean that the Secret Service is lying and blaming.

House Speaker Mike Johnson says that he will establish a task force in the House of Representatives to investigate the assassination attempt. How many investigations do we have now? Let's try to count.

President Biden says that he has directed an independent review of the incident. The House Oversight Committee Chairman announced that it has opened an investigation into the shooting. The FBI says that it continues to investigate along with the Secret Service. The Department of Homeland Security said that it too will investigate. And now add Speaker Johnson's investigation. Everyone is investigating. Will anyone be held responsible?

The House Oversight Committee sent a letter to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle saying that they expect her to show up for questioning next Monday, July 22. Her attendance is now in question at the behest of DHS Deputy Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Why would he prevent her congressional testimony?

A Warmonger Wins Re-Election

A court in Europe ruled that the European Commission "did not give the public sufficient information about its agreements to purchase Covid-19 vaccines."

These agreements, we now know, were brokered by Commission head Ursula von der Leyen, who won re-election today for five more years, God help us. To be clear she was re-elected by European bureaucrats not European citizens. Not only has she been proven to broker back pocket deals, she is unequivocally a warmonger. She will tank the European economy to support any war you put in front of her. She said as much in her victory speech, promising "increased military spending."

The court ruling on Wednesday was just a hand slap for the European Commission. The governing body said that it would "carefully study the Court's judgments and their implications." That's all the people of Europe get. A mea culpa.

This is similar to what the people of the U.K get. The Covid inquiry concluded that the pandemic was "hampered by 'groupthink' and bureaucracy, which health secretaries such as Jeremy Hunt failed to challenge." This is the inquiry's first report but hopefully there will be more to dissect not just groupthink and bureaucracy but also arbitrary rules, school closures, vaccine mandates.

What's Trending?

Deadpool Xbox controller is trending because Microsoft released a new controller to coincide with the new Deadpool movie and it looks like it has buttcheeks. I think that's on purpose.

The Emmys are trending because nominations for the 76th annual awards show were announced.

Cobra Kai is trending because the show is back for Season 6, Part 1.

News By The Numbers

1,600 acres. That is how much land the federal government must return to the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, according to legislation signed recently by President Biden.

2%. That was the inflation rate in the U.K. in June, unchanged from May.

12,000,000. That is how many shares of Truth Social were shorted by a company called Austin Private Wealth LLC on the day before he was shot. That's weird, right?

John Deere Gives DEI The Backhoe

The tractor company John Deere says that it will no longer participate in pride parades, cultural awareness events or any other activity that divides people on identity lines.

This comes after John Deere was called out by filmmaker Robby Starbuck for "funding a pride event for kids as young as 3, asking employees to list their "preferred pronouns" on all communication, promoting neo-racist literature by Ibram Kendi and Robin DiAngelo and more. Starbuck called out Tractor Supply Co. for doing the same thing and the company dropped that nonsense

After the John Deere post went viral with over 5 million views, John Deere apologized and said that they would no longer promote pride events and audit all employee training materials to ensure the "absence of socially motivated messages."

John Deere still promotes nonbinary training, pronouns and DEI values through their DEI Program Manager, according to Starbuck but for how much longer as long as they continue to be called out for it?

Microsoft reportedly laid off an entire DEI team and last year, according to the New York Post, "Google and Meta reduced the scope of their DEI programs and cut staff as part of restructuring and layoffs at both companies."
