New research shows that people who go on injectable weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy have a 45% higher rate of suicide ideation.
This comes from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) database for adverse drug events. The WHO did not do this research for themselves. Of course not. Researchers analyzed the injectable drugs versus other drugs and found this higher rate of suicide ideation, which they say “warrants urgent clarification.”
This does not mean that Ozempic users are actually committing suicide but it does indicate that losing the weight is not necessarily solving their problems or making them happier in life. Especially when it comes with so many major side effects such as life-long diarrhea.
