Corporate media are warning that they may be imprisoned if Donald Trump is re-elected and telling us that they’re very scared. This rings a bit hollow, considering they were allowed to lead their broadcasts with Russia-gate for the entire Trump administration without consequence.
Nevertheless, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow says that she worries she could be put in a migrant camp for making an enemy of President Trump. White House correspondent Nicole Wallace says that by this time next year, she may not be allowed to broadcast at all.
Politicians are in on this fear-mongering too. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says that she “wouldn’t be surprised if this guy (Trump) threw me in jail.”
So why didn’t he last time around?
They are begging voters to vote against Trump to save them from political prosecution while also arguing in their coverage of the Trump trial that there is no such thing as a political prosecution. Okay.
