After months of silence on the issue, former President Trump said that Israel has to “finish the problem” with its attack on Gaza, confirming that he is “firmly in Israel’s camp.”

This is not surprising as the former President made many pro-Israel moves during his administration such as moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, solidifying the U.S. stance that Jerusalem belongs to Israel and not the Palestinian people. He also recognized the Golan Heights as Israeli territory. Still, it shakes up a misbelief that Trump would be an anti-war president. He condemned only the October 7 attacks on Tel Aviv and not the death of approximately 31,000 Palestinians, 70% of which are women and children.

CNN reported this week that at least 20 people have died of starvation since the war broke out, the youngest a one-day-old baby.
