Cheree Peeples is trending because of a new documentary about how the Black mother was arrested on orders of Kamala Harris when she was the California Attorney General because her daughter had missed too much school. The daughter has sickle cell anemia. The family had kept up with her school work and appropriately communicated with the school but the mother was arrested anyway because of Harris’ declared war on truancy.
