Ukrainian President Zelensky wants to legalize marijuana to help his citizens cope with the “trauma of war.”

Cope with or disassociate from? In a recent article from Der Spiegel, soldiers said that as part of their training on German tanks, they were taken to a nightclub.

“I stayed all night. It wouldn’t have been worth it for just a couple of hours,” he says. Loud music, techno and trance: Perfect for forgetting.

Because they are scared, untrained, and should not be sacrificed in this war.

So in pushing for marijuana, does Zelensky want them to “cope” or just tune out and follow orders into a hopeless battle?
