NATO is warning of the need to have more nuclear weapons due to the threat of war with Russia and China. He says that NATO countries are taking missiles out of storage just in case.
NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said this:“I won’t go into operational details about how many nuclear warheads should be operational and which should be stored, but we need to consult on these issues. That’s exactly what we’re doing.”
Stoltenberg is not elected by any nation’s electorate but he is calling for what he calls “nuclear transparency.” He says that NATO used to conduct nuclear exercises in secret but his way is way better because at least they’re doing it out in the open. Phew. I feel so much better.
